For Christmas my husband got a hydroponic starter kit. He ordered hi herbs and started three pods. Weve been patiently waiting for signs of growth. Today he could take off the covers since we could definitely see green. It took a while before there was any sign of germination.
Wish the grandkids could experience this. It was a present from them. Will definitely be sending them this picture.

Ive had several different colored amaryllis plant over the year but never a white with pink edging. They are to fun to watch open. This beautiful bud greeted me this morning. I gave it a little water and watched it bloom all day. There will eventually be fore flowers.
It appears they should bloom every two days.

This is not where you would expect our reindeer would be displayed. EF1 tornadoes went through the country side last night with wind speeds between 73 and 112 mph.
In the city we did not see this high a degree of weather but were informed we could loose Christmas lights and decoration.
The porch was an ideal area to put our deer.

I walked up to take a closer look and take this picture. Indeed it was an old stump. It just got hidden within nature.

Last year she bloomed for Halloween and Easter. This year we have many blooms in time for Thanksgiving. I think I found the perfect window for the summer months. This is a 30 year old plant and I though this year would be the last.
Each Christmas I would purchase another and plant it with the old. Every year the new one would die out. I stopped buying last year and moved it. Liked being with people. New branches is producing lots of buds.
