Spring Is Popping

Crocus are up and buds are forming on the daffodils. The rain has been plentiful with gray skies today. In fact it rained all night with an electric sky. With good weather and a sunny days we should have plenty of flowers for spring bouquets.

I planted new bulbs in the fall so the should be good size blooms. Welcome Spring!

Spring Has Arrived!

Im always amazed at what flowers make it through our long winter months in Iowa. Last fall I planted over 3 dozen bulbs. No crocuses however. The tulips have started push forward but no buds yet. I think the were waiting for the crocus to show thei little heads.

Sure enough the have arrived after a long couple of days of showers.

Looking Forward To Spring

Just went through pictures from pass travels. We are not yet into long trips but week end excursions will start soon with warmer weather. This picture is from a cave excursion in the Mississippi area last fall. Might be a good place to take the grandkids.

Looking for other similar places. Its so much fun to find new inspiration for cards and other projects.

Music Passion Leads To New Purchase

During the past two years we have not been traveling. Instead my hubby and I have turned to another passion, play our instruments. My flute was handed down to my daughter when she need a better flute in high school.

My returning to playing a flute during Covid made me realize I needed a new flute. What an experience. The music store sent me three flutes to try out. My teacher told me it would be a Harry Potter experience. The flute will choose me. Yes, found my forever flute and joined the local community band in January.

Frank Lloyd Wright Interpretive Center

Here in my hometown we are proud to have two buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. This past week our community college had a class in their life long learning program on the Prairie Style houses in our area.

I toured the interpretive center and snapped several 3 dimensional architectural models with the hope that I could figure out how to create a popup card.

I continued into the auditorium for two different lectures on the prairie homes in town.
