60 !!!! OH HEAVENS

Its a milestone and I would like to thank all those of you who read my post and sent me birthday hugs.

I was a lovely consolation prize for reaching the big 6-0.

I just had to share with you the incredible cake my husband had made for me (the hand is his going Voilà - normal hes French.

The edible top of the cake had the British, French, Romanian (were very involved with the Kiwanis in that country) and Papal flags .... and in the middle an ORGAN.

My birthday present that I shared with you last week.

I was lovely to be surrounded by friends and the crowning glory - that my son and his adorable wife who came to share the moment with me.

Since Im thinking time and years that pass, I though I should share with you a couple of my calendars for 2018 that you may have missed.

And remember, that if you purchased calendars in 2016, there is an update sheet available for each model so that they can be used next year.

I love you all, thank you and ENJOY !

MY NEW ARRIVAL

No, its not a grandchild (mores the pity) just an electronic church organ that it now in my music room along with an upright and a grand piano, various guitars, a flute and all the plants that we winter inside.

A veritable musical jungle !

This is my 60th birthday present to myself. I can hardly believe that I have reached such a milestone. I still feel 30, but must admit that when I look in the mirror it replies ... Youre no longer the fairest, definitely 60.

Well actually my birthday is tomorrow, Saturday 11th, and I have put myself on Designer Discount so that you can all celebrate with me.

I will also ask you all to send me a BIRTHDAY HUG, any old card will do, but it would be a great present to feel CUP hugged.

Have a great weekend, and go make the most of my discount. Love you all. xxx Wanda

UNUSUAL CONCERT

We were recently in Evian (where the water comes from) on the banks of lake Leman, and were treated to a rather interesting concert by these three musicians.

Rather like a trumpet its all a question of lips ... unlike a trumpet they dont have any pistons to help them get notes, so the musical range is rather limited.

Interesting though, as although I knew Alpine pipes existed, Id never heard one played before. Modernity has hit the alpine music industry, and these actually unscrew into 4 pieces. It still makes them rather more unwieldy to carry around than a harmonica.

Think Ill stick with my accordion, ... so much easier to carry around ! Have a great week.

THE ORGAN LESSON

Busy, busy, busy this week, but WE did find the time to spend some time in Church.

I say We because when my husband arrived with the dog (he mends things in church for me) my little Misty ran down the aisle (well shes one of Gods creatures too) and jumped up onto the bench beside me, where she sat listening.

From this picture my husband snapped, she was also paying very close attention!!! Im featuring a couple of musical cards, perfect for musicians or Elton John Fans, so ENJOY!

STREET ART

Were back from a trip to Evian (you probably know the water) where we were served Vittel water (from somewhere totally different) in the restaurant and where I snapped this wonderful piece of street art.

Actually these umbrellas had been hung in honour of the Evian ladies golf tournament, but I felt they were so cut I just had to share them with you all.

So its only natural that I should spotlight my very own golfing card and one of my latest creations, for any of you already panicking and after a quick Christmas fix.

ENJOY and have a good week.
