The shed project is still ongoing. We now have most of the back wall completed & in place held there by the roof supports.

It seems like a long job as each panel has to be made up then the outside covered in asphalt sheet to keep it waterproof as it is impossible to get at it to retreat with wood preserver.

The last of the panels for the back wall is being constructed today & the next job will be to do the 2 end walls before the roof can go on. It is not an easy job as the temperatures in the sun are over 40C so it has to be done bit by bit. We are learning as we go & when it comes to building my craft shed next we will have a much better idea so it will probably be a quicker job. Our kitten is assisting Allen in his work.

Wherever Allen is Monty is there too including up the ladders.

My other half Allen is going to build me a large wooden craft room on the side of our house so that I can craft to my hearts content without worrying about the mess.

As our old store shed was in need of repair/extension we decided to do that first as a dummy run.

We emptied it out finding lots of things we had forgotten about & then dismantled it completely. Allen has now built the framework on the end of our house & started on constructing the panels for the other walls.

He is learning as he goes along the easy way to do things which will be useful when it comes to doing my craft room which will be quite a lot larger.

It would be easier if the sun temperature wasn't in excess of 40C but then it could be raining.

Monty is settling in well & is growing daily. He now weights in at 1.7kg. He has claimed my sheepskin ring which I got a couple of years back when I broke my coccyx. He loves to lay in the middle with legs in all directions.

He has also claim a weasel toy from the dog which goes everywhere with him.

He now wants to go outside but as he is small enough to get out of the garden & onto the road we have bought him a harness & he has an extending lead attached so that he can play outside but cant go out. This week I managed to get a photo of him when he was still (a rare occurance), laid in the sheepskin ring with weasel draped over the edge.

Last Tuesday evening I went over to our bowls club to deliver 5 cards which had been ordered. One of the men came over & asked how quickly I could do a card. My other half told him I had just delivered one which was ordered that day.

The man then asked me to do a very special Silver Anniversary card & a birthday card for his wife. No problem - but then the snag - he needed them by the following day!! I came home & made the birthday card then did all the planning for the anniversary card.

I got up the following morning & made it up. Luckily I had all the embellishments I needed & by 11.30 the card & gift box were finished. I delivered as requested at lunchtime. Must be the fastest I have ever made one of this type of cards.

Well Monty has now been with us for 2 weeks & is still causing chaos. He & our old dog Lisa enjoy playing together but being so much older she tires quickly & then retreats to a safe distance to sleep. He has decided that rather than sleep in his own bed my chest is a perfect place to have a nap so I end up working on the laptop with him fast asleep across me.

I am hoping that he grows out of this as he gets older because I could have problems with a full grown cat laid there. I thought I would showcase 2 cat cards.
