A few months ago I spotted a post on facebook advertising a new restaurant nearby and I have been itching to try it ever since.
Last weekend was the perfect time to give it a go as I hadnt really been out all week other than school runs and really fancied doing something different.
The restaurant only serves desserts and milkshakes etc, but has a huge and delicious range. Both my girls chose the chocoholic while I had a ferrero rocher sundae and hubby had waffles with apple, cinnamon, syrup and ice cream.
They were all totally amazing, but hubby was the only one who managed to eat all of his. I think my girls faces say it all in these pics. Imogen, my five year old said it was the best meal she had ever eaten, but then again she said that the night before when we she had burger and chips from the chip shop!

Today I was lucky enough to be looking after my mum and dads golden retriever Alfie for the day.
I couldnt wait for him to arrive as I had told my golden Baxter that I would take them for a walk on his field, so Baxter was listening to every car that passed trying to work out if they had arrived.
We had a lovely walk, beautiful sunshine, but rather crisp, which I quite like. Now the boys a are getting on a bit (they are both 11) they are like gentlemen on their walks, sweet and smiley and just happy to say hello to anyone that passes.
Alfie was so well behaved, every time he got ahead of me he would just stop and wait with a big grin on his face.
Heres a picture of the boys on our way back home, they were a bit worn out by then so they finally stayed next to each other for a photo.

My girls absolutely love fancy dress and with school and all the clubs they go to there are plenty of opportunities to dress up as their favourite characters.
In the next couple of months my eldest Jessica who is 8 needs costumes for Annie and Matilda for a small show her drama group are putting on.
She needs a world book day costume and has decided on Hermoine from Harry Potter and she also needs a costume from Beauty and the Beast for a drama workshop.
My youngest Imogen who is 5 straight away wanted to of course be princess Belle and Jessica has decided on Babette the feather duster!
That just leaves me to create these things, but I do secretly love it and now that I have recently learnt how to sew on a machine I might get more and more adventurous with the outfits!

Last week has seen the start of many pre Christmas parties for my girls.
They go to a lot of clubs and so they have a lot of Christmas events, so far we have been to our towns late night shopping event, had a party at Brownies, a party at Rainbows and a meal out with friends to exchange Christmas gifts.
This week is already shaping up to be even busier and I even get to go out for a meal without the kids or husband, which will make a change!
But back to last weeks meal out, it was a lovely relaxed lunch and we all felt thoroughly spoilt by our friends.
Imogen was a little worn out from dance classes, so we treated her to this mega dessert. It was a make your own cookie dough pizza. She was so pleased with herself making it, but only had room to eat the toppings, so we ended up bringing it home.

My gorgeous golden retriever Baxter is 11 now and this year arthritis has crept in. Over the summer his walks got slower and slower and he was gaining weight.
He wasnt playing like he used to and of an evening would just lay in the other room and sometimes moan because he didnt want to stand on the wooden floor.
I took him to the vets and he was put on anti inflammatory tablets, but we soon upped the dose as they didnt seem to do a lot for him.
I also put him on a diet and made sure I gave him extra leg rubs to help the aches and pains.
He seemed a little better but not a lot, so the vet recommended a course of Cartrophen injections and wow what a difference!
Thankfully I have managed to get his weight down by about 5kg so far and after his injections he is playing more and bounding about like a puppy on his walks.
My mum had always nicknamed him Tigger and it is lovely to see him with his Tigher bounce back! I have put 12 fab Christmas designs on offer this week all with 25% off!
