Last weekend our girls schools had teacher training days on the Friday and Monday, they did the same last year on the same weekend and it gave us the perfect opportunity to have a short break away before the Christmas craziness really kicks in.

So this year we booked the same caravan park and went off to Great Yarmouth for the weekend. We had a great time, but the weekend flew by, it was also my birthday weekend so we had lots of meals out and a few too many treats.

Today was my birthday and I had a fab day! It was quite low key, but I got to see all my most favourite people, which is the most important thing and I got some lovely, thoughtful presents too.

My day started with watching my five year old in her school assembly, she was a narrator and I was so proud of her amazing reading and singing.

I then took my dog to the vets and he was finally given the all clear for a very persistent ear infection.

Then I went off to my mum (cup designer Sue Way) and dads for lunch, where I was thoroughly spoilt, with pressies, cake, Birthday banners and Birthday money and my dad even got home early from work with a bunch of flowers for me.

In the evening I finally got to open my cards and presents from my husband, he got me a lovely bracelet and tickets to see Dirty Dancing on stage, I cant wait.

Last Wednesday I was having a really lovely morning. The kids were getting along nicely, the sun was shining and the school run was going well.

I dropped the girls off and then on my way back to the car my ankle went causing me to have a nasty fall landing with all of my weight on one knee.

I was in a lot of pain, but managed through gritted teeth to get myself home. On the advise of friends and family my mum took me to the minor injuries unit to get me sorted.

I spent a few days resting and have ended up with a foot long bruise and a numb kneecap with a nasty cut.

Lots of my mummy friends from school have been asking after me, with one buying me some flowers.

Another of my friends cooks the most beautiful Thai food and she made a special delivery to me on her way out and the food was still warm right in time for lunch!

This was my Thai vegetable curry, sticky rice and the best veg spring rolls I have ever eaten. I still have lots of Christmas designs on offer with 25% Enjoy!

I dont normally make a fuss of Halloween, but this year my daughters had quite a lot of spooky things going on including a fab dance party, which included some well known Disney characters.

I spent a lot of time getting the girls ready with special face paint.

Jessicas face was Frankie Stein inspired from one of their favourite shows Monster High and Imogen was painted like a sugar skull.

I thought they looked great, even if I do say so myself. I have lots of lovely Christmas designs on offer this week, thank you for looking

My eldest daughter Jessica recently joined a drama and singing club, she has been having great fun learning songs from Annie and it has really helped with her confidence.

Her drama teacher set up a special Halloween drama, dance and singing workshop for the half term and my youngest daughter Imogen was very excited to be able to go too.

The girls had a really busy day swimming in the morning then a quick change and speedy face paint and then off to the 4 hour workshop.

They had so much fun and did a little performance at the end. Here they are all dressed for Halloween fun.
