So its the easter holidays and Im not sure if I am trying to keep my kids busy or the other way round.

I always have a lot lined up for them and then they always want to do more!

Today I sent them off with the biggest packed lunches I have ever made. Jessica was off on a Brownie trip to a local country park and Imogen was off to an easter club with her dance school, where she will be doing singing, dancing, crafting and eating!!

We had an hour between drop offs, so me and Immy got to walk Baxter in the beautuful sunshine too.

They were very excited about the day ahead and I was quite excited to have a quiet house for a few hours to do my housework ha ha!

A long time ago I used to be a card maker, but in recent years the designing side has taken over and I very rarely get to make a card now, although there is no way Im giving up my craft stash!

I still love all my sparkly bits, colourful bits and fun bits and I do really still love making cards, but Im obviously not that good at sharing as I hate it when my kids get their hands on my stuff ha ha!

As Mothers Day was coming up, it was the perfect time to finally use some of my craft bits again.

I printed out one of my own designs cup598275_1028 and made my mum (cup designer Sue Way) a pretty Mothers Day card.

I think she really liked it and it always feels special to receive a handmade card. I didnt use all the layers available in my kit this time as I was pressed for time, but it still made a lovely card.

I added some little sparkles to finish it off and the matching insert inside. This design could easily be used for a birthday as well.

My birthday was back in November and my husband bought tickets for us to go and see Dirty Dancing on stage, but the show wasnt on until March, this week was finally the week I got to use my birthday present.

I also had a voucher for my birthday from friends to get my nails done, but hadnt used it as Im not very good at making time for myself.

Im normally running my kids to one club or another and find it hard to fit in fun stuff for me.

As the voucher was due to run out, I finally got my gel nails done on friday, which tied in nicely with the show, so I had my birthday presents 4 months after my birthday!

The show was amazing, it really brought one of my favourite films to life and wow those people can dance!!

The casting, costumes and set were brilliant and cleverly done, Id really recommend seeing it if you can.

I have just uploaded a new Mothers Day/Birthday design with an Owl theme, suitable for a son or daughter to give to their mum.

Last week I shared a picture of my baking efforts for my daughters 6th birthday cakes, well I got them all iced and assembled to make one of Imogens favourite shopkins characters Dlish Donut.

It didnt turn out quite as neat and perfect as I would have liked, but I very rarely do any baking, so I was pretty pleased and they did taste good, which is the main thing.

Imogen had a wonderful birthday, she had her party on sunday with princesses and Spider-Man making an appearance and then on Wednesday she had school and drama club, then we picked her up and surprised her with dinner out and Nanny (CUP designer Sue Way) and Granddad were there waiting for us.

She really had a lovely time and when she opened a present from my mum and dad she told them she had wanted that for a whole year!

Well this morning my kitchen resembled a bakery! Its my daughter Imogens 6th birthday next week and I am getting ready for her party at the weekend.

I very rarely bake cakes, so when I do I spend weeks thinking about it, hours checking I am getting the right ingredients and then all morning making sure I am doing it right.

Obviously only to find I dont own enough oven trays or a big enough oven ha ha! 48 cupcakes baked now and 1 for luck (testing) and I think Im done, until the icing.

Once they are iced they will be assembled in to one of Imogens favourite characters, Ill update you next week with the outcome.

As its nearly Mothers Day I have created this cute owl design which is suitable for birthdays too, using my own artwork and I have popped it on special offer as well, along with lots of other great Mothers Day and other occasion designs and kits.
