A couple of weeks ago my youngest daughters class at school were lucky enough to have chicks in their classroom.

Their topic this half term is down on the farm and they got to see the chicks hatch from their eggs and grow before their eyes.

I think the parents and teachers were as excited as the children, I couldnt believe how quickly they grew! The chicks have outgrown their incubator now and have gone to live with the school cook!! We have been assured they are going to live in her chicken run once they are big enough and she is not going to cook them!

In the middle of my little town we have a small pond and fountain right by the shops.

Its a lovely area to just have a sit down and look at the fish and it has beautiful flowers which are tended by some of the more senior members of the town, called the Bloomers.

The area is enjoyed by all and is on the main walk through from the school to the shops, so plenty of kids and parents stop there everyday.

We are lucky enough to have two Ducks visit the pond frequently, they are always together and the male duck come right up to you looking for food.

Last weekend my daughters got to have a photoshoot at their dance class. They both do ballet, tap and jazz and have been going for a couple of years.

On Saturday mornings my youngest daughter had 2 hours of dance, so then it was a quick dash home for lunch then back for 2 hours of photoshoot.

Both girls started off really well but by the end my youngest was being a bit of a diva as she was worn out.

Luckily we had no plans for the afternoon, so they got to have a onesie and movie afternoon.

This is a photo I snapped of them doing some ballet poses together, I cant wait to see the professional pictures.

Well after a very busy Easter break my girls are back at school and we are slipping in to the old routine.

Back to early starts and lots of clubs, but also back to my walks with my beautiful boy Baxter, just me and him.

Yesterdays walk felt like winter, but this morning it was beautiful sunshine and just a light breeze, so I treated Baxter to a little explore in the woods.

He is getting on a bit and is nearly 12, but he loves going out, so any extra exploring makes him happy.

I managed to snap this picture of him just being his cute, cuddly self in the bluebells.

Another jam packed week this week, with lots of fun for the kids. We had a trip to the theatre on Sunday to see a production of Alice in wonderland and then on Wednesday the girls had a drama workshop in the same theme.

Their drama teacher put in so much effort to decorate the hall and put on a wonderful mad hatters tea party and easter egg hunt.

As usual my girls were dressed for the occasion, Jessica as the Queen of hearts and Imogen as my little Alice.
