Christmas Break With Grammy And Papa

Oh my. We had such a lovely visit with our oldest granddaughter. Shes only in kindergarten but loves doing projects with Grammy. We spent the evening making pencil caterpillars for valentine gifts. She was really patient with us. 20 was like child labor to get done. Payment was two cookies.

She was only here two days. We did shrinky dinks, foam lady bugs, and lots of games. Back to school next week. She is missing her friends.

Merry Christmas

2017 is turning out to be a good year. As one of the newer designers, I want to thank all those who follow and purchase my designs to help increase my sales from last year.

I promise to continue to create new popup cards which brings great joy and smiles to the recipients. My goal is to continue delivering quality designs, make many new crafting friends and support Craftuprint as an exclusive designer.

Ill be back in January after the holidays with a new Valentine series featuring Sassy Cheryls and Diane Carubias cute stamping characters.

See you around on Facebook.

Omaha Zoo

The Omaha Zoo is amazing. Even in the winter there are many indoor exhibits. My favorite is the Butterfly garden. They have butterflies in a topical room filled with all kinds of vegetation.

The best part is watching the butterflies dance around the area and occasionally landing right on your hand. The room has a double door system so they will not escape. You carefully examine each other to return them to the room before exiting the second door. Outside the room there are hatching exhibits and this display of many different butterflies.

Animals In The Christmas Story - Part 2

We have made and seen lots of cards with the wise men from the East and their Camels as part of the Christmas story but there is no reference in the Bible to the camels.

Instead it is our thought that this is how they must have traveled through the desert. While in Egypt we saw many camels carrying supplies and tourists. They are very curious animals that survive in the hot climate without intake of water for days. And yes they spit. There will always be a place in my Christmas story for camels.

Animals In The Christmas Story

There are several animals in the Christmas story. I looked through my pictures and the most recent animal Ive seen is the sheep at the state fair this summer.

We have a Shetland sheep dog with a natural instinct to herd the grandchildren but we have never had the chance to test out his talent on sheep.
