Turkey Time

Ive never seen a real turkey with its feathers spread fanned out. This spring I captured this photo. Now this summer I asked if anyone had seen baby turkeys. We were driving out to moms and what did we see but a mom and her three babies.

Week End Trip In The Black Hills

This week end we ventured out to the black hills to celebrate my aunts birthday. It was a surprise party with 20 of her close family. We had a wonderful time especially trying to figure out how to keep a secret and get her to the hotel.

While we were in the area we took a trip through custer national park to see the monuments. The needles drive was spectacular with all the beautiful colored leaves.

Spring Green Wisconsin - Taliesin

This past week end we were in Spring Green for a week end of seeing plays at the American Players Theater.

It was a cold event since the theater is outside. I told the kids just pretend we are going to a football game.

We bundled up and had a great two days. While there we toured Taliesin, home of Frank Lloyd Wright. My son and girl friend are both architects. It was interesting to see how they reacted to this historical building.

Reykjavik, Icelandic National Museum

One of my best selling cards is based on an Astronomical clock. While in Iceland we visited the Icelandic National Museum. This is a clock but no one knows exactly how it worked. It would have been fun to play around with different dates on a new card for retirement.

There were many other beautiful items such as the costumes the Vikings wore.

Looking For Puffins

One of the adventures we had was going on a boat or puffin island in Iceland. We all were decked out in warm clothes and rain gear. We were a small group touring together. We got to know everyone.

We were kind of late to see the thousand of puffins that nest here. Next week maybe Ill show you a picture of the ones we saw. They were fun to watch flying.
