Every 1st Sunday in the month there is a Farmers Market at the Humber Bridge. Its grown over the yaers and is always very popular. My Friend has been lucky enough to get a stall after been on the waiting list . Her stall looks brilliant.
She does all the carpentry herself ,and many items are upcycled and recycled. Cant wait until next month to see what is on the stall . xx
We visited the Anglo Saxon Burial site at Sutton Hoo.!n 1939 the burial mound was excavated and the burried ship of an Anglo-Saxon king and his treasured possessions were discovered A full-size reconstruction of the burial chamber, replica treasures and original finds from one of the mounds, including a prince's sword are on display in the exhibition hall. This photo was taken in the grounds near the burial mounds.

We had a great time in Suffolk last week. This photo was taken in Thetford which was the town used for the filming of the British comedy ,Dads Army .
We got a town map from the tourist information shop, and follows the Dads Army trail .
The trail ended with a bronze statue of the Late Arthur Lowe , in his Captain Mainwaring guise . There is also Mr Jones the butchers , and we just couldn't resist buying some warmington on sea wartime sausages .

As part of celebrations for Hull's sea fishing heritage,we have had an exhibition in the City Centers Holy Trinity Church.
This fishing boat has been hand knitted . people have also been asked to knit herrings to be used in the exhibition .
There are also knitted cats,seaguls and a crab. Well worth a visit
We've had an exciting start to our week .our beautiful granddaughter Skyla was born on Tuesday 10th June . She weighed 7lb 10 oz, and just seems tiny .
She has long fingers and her scratch nits kept coming off, so she has socks of her hands at the minute .
We could start a whole new trend . Big sister Lexie aged 5 loves her , and wants to take her for a ride in the dolls pram .lots of happy times ahead
