I am really looking forward to Christmas .... I love this time of year. Here is a photo of me in Worcester last Saturday drinking mulled wine after a hard day Christmas shopping. We love mulled wine and when we have it at home we add chopped almonds and raisins.

Its something we learnt off the Danish when my hubby worked out there .... yum! Well all the pressies are wrapped and I just need to keep up with the house work and food shopping now ...

Last weekend we went to The Magical Journey near Sutton Coldfield with our son, daughter in law and two grandchildren Mia and Jack.

We saw Santa's museum, had a story by Mrs Clause, saw the 'Elf Factor' show and then went on a magical train ride through snow covered woods.

As we got off the train we were met by Jack Frost who took us in his teepee for a cup of hot chocolate. we then had a walk through the woods and were met by several elves .....

Mia was taught how to do the 'Elf Dance'. We saw Santa's Magic key tree where all the keys to open all the houses around the world were hanging ..... some were huge lol.

We then ended up in another Teepee where the children listened to a story.

Their names were chalked on a board as we entered the teepee and when it was their time to visit santa's lodge their names were called out.

We were then taken through the woods again to Santa's lodge ...... the grandchildren loved it! Here is a photo of Mia and Jack before we started our Magical Journey Here are two of my latest Christmas designs

I do love the run up to Christmas especially decorating the garden with Christmas lights. We have been extra early this year because last weekend we had the grandchildren staying.

We visited The Magical Journey with them in Sutton Coldfield so wanted the house to look all Christmassy for them when we got back home.

We even had some presents under the tree but of course their real Christmas presents have been sent to Santa to deliver on the big day Here are some of my latest designs

Now the dark nights are here I have started to pick up my crochet hook again. I learnt how to crochet this time last year by watching Youtube videos. I made lots of cool character hats for the grandchildren last Winter which they loved.

My little grandson Jack who is nearly 3 just loves the 'Minions' so I have just made this little hat for him.

Now his sister Mia who is 7 has requested one ..... good job I have lots of wool left in the same colours :) Some of my latest designs

Here is a photo of me sitting on the steps of one of the Whitby lighthouses. We often visit Whitby but I never noticed this little lighthouse before. I discovered it when we went for a walk on the other pier.

I fell in love with it and thought I must draw it and use it in a card design next year ... so watch this space!
