Last weekend we went to a little village near home that holds an annual scarecrow festival. We visit the festival every year as we love to see the straw models the villagers come up with. There are always lots of other attractions going on too.
This year the theme was 'Film Heroes and Villains'. One of my favorites was 'Crowcodile Dundee' which you can see in the photo. There were Despicable Me characters, James Bond, Spiderman, Draculas, Cruella De Vil to name a few. Some displays are basic like a pair of shoes for The Invisible Man and some are built in great detail.
It is a great way to spend a Sunday morning/afternoon followed by a pub lunch!
Every so often when I get the time I like to play with bits of paper. I think that's why enjoy making the printable card kits so much. I have always loved drawing and sticking bits of paper together since I was a child.
Recently I had a go at scrapbooking and made this page of my granddaughter Mia. The photos were taken at a wedding a couple of years ago. I love the colours and they really inspired me. I really must find time to do some more :) Here are two of my latest Christmas designs 'Christmas Cocktail Emma' and 'Santa Stop Here Penguin Treat Box'
On our recent holiday to Croatia we went on a wine tour. We were taken out into the countryside not too far from where we were staying by coach. We then joined 'The Wine Train' which was a tourist train something like you see on UK seaside promenades.
It took us around all the little farms/vineyards to sample the wine and home baked nibbles that the different families that owned the vineyards made.
The photo is taken at one of the vineyards. If you look closely you can see me in the middle sampling the wine :) The Croatian countryside was so beautiful and we saw black squirrels and black butterflies.

On our recent holiday to Filey we took a trip up to the beautiful seaside town of Whitby. We love Whitby and while we were there we saw a man making a sand sculpture of a sleeping dog.
It was amazing as you can see from the photo.
He made it on the street by tipping a bag of sand on to a piece of carpet and then he worked on it with his tools.
He also does this in other seaside towns on the Yorkshire Coast so you may have seen him too. What an amazing talent! Here are two of my latest designs 'Bella with Mistletoe' and 'Snowman Triangle Card'
We are on holiday in Filey this week so sorry about the lack of new design sheets but I will be back on top of things next week :) So far the weather has been pleasant and we are enjoying a nice break.
We always take a holiday on the Yorkshire Coast first week in September as the children are all back at school so its nice and quiet but the weather is still warm.
