Our two year old little grandson Jack is mad about fire engines and Fireman Sam. The local fire station where he lives recently had an open day. Jacks parents took him and his sister Mia along to the fire station and they had lots of fun.

Here is a photo of Jack sitting on a fireman's knee inside one of the big fire engines. This gave me some inspiration for one of my recent card designs as you can see :) Here are two of my latest card designs 'Fireman Andy' and 'Triangle Penguin Card'

We had our little grandaughter Mia staying with us for a few days during the school Summer holidays. We gave her a big surprise by taking her to stay in Filey for a long weekend.

We arrived on the Saturday afternoon and although it was breezy it was quite warm so Mia got to play in the sea and build sandcastles.

Unfortunately the remnants of Hurricane Bertha hit the UK on the Sunday and it poured with rain from mid morning until early evening.

We spent most of the day in Scarborough moving from the Amusement arcades to cafes to keep out of the monsoon which was relentless.

The thunder and lightening started late afternoon and it was quite scary. The next day was very breezy, brighter but a bit on the cool side.

Despite the weather we all had a fabulous time and this picture was taken of Mia sitting in a giant lobster's claw on Filey sea front :) Here are two of my latest Christmas Designs 'Merry Christmas Chloe' and 'Let it Snow'

My little grandaughter came to stay with us for a few days as it's the school holidays. We took her to the West Midlands Safari Park as it's not too far from where we live. We had a brilliant day and the weather was glorious.

After we went around the safari by car feeding the animals we went into the theme park on some 'big' rides.

Mia had a ball because last time we took her she was only about 4 yrs old and she would not entertain any of the rides.

Grandma and Grandad had a ball too lol.

The day after we took her to the Yorkshire Coast for a few days but I will save that for another news story :) Here are two of my latest Christmas Designs 'Poppy Bauble' and 'Pengin Bauble' Mini Kits

Here is a photo of my little dog Gem after she came back from the groomers and doesn't she look smart.

Little madam went and rolled all over the back lawn though when I brought her home.

She loves going out in the car but she does know somehow when we are going to the groomers or the vets as I have to pick her up and carry her to the car.

If it's a walk in the woods or a trip to the seaside on offer she is in the car before us.

It's funny how she knows the difference. Dogs are such clever little animals, they know more than we give them credit for.

Gem is such a good little dog and she has the sweetest nature. She sits by me all day as I make my designs and she really is a perfect little Gem! Here are a couple of my latest Christmas designs 'Angelica with Gifts' and 'Gingerbread Baubles'

People often ask me where I get ideas and inspiration for the artwork I produce. Basically a lot of inspiration and ideas come from my grandchildren and own children when they were young.

One of my latest designs which you can see below was inspired by my youngest granddaughter and her horse Floyd.

We took this photo of them both last spring when we went down to the stables to watch her have a riding lesson.

I copied the clothing Mia was wearing that day and dressed 'Horse Riding Chloe' in the same outfit!
