Snow

Like the rest of the country this week, we have had the snow. Weve been snowed in a bit as our roads are not clear and its not worth the risk of going out.

The dogs have had a ball with it all.

They have been out in the garden most of the day and as soon as they come in they want straight back out again.

Snow

We finally got some snow this week. Although we had so much rain and sleet the day before that the car was completely frozen. There was a huge layer of ice all around it, we couldnt even get the doors to open that they were stuck solid.

After a few hours, it had thawed just enough to get out with the dogs. The field was just as bad with a crunchy layer of ice as you walked along. The dogs had a ball and we had cold feet!

Snow

When we woke this morning we had a nice surprise of some snow. The dogs had a ball running about in it, just wish there was more. Although we did get a lot later on in the day but it kept melting.

Dont know why though as the winds were icy cold. Just hope we get a white Christmas! Fingers crossed for more tomorrow.

Just Keeps Going

We found a lovely spot just up the road to run the dogs just before we get to the woods.

We have started taking the ball chucker with us now to give them a good run before we get there.

Even after 30 mins of throwing the ball then a 5 mile run in the woods, Mak is still ready for more!

Although Im not surprised considering that when they are working herding the sheep they can run up to 50 miles or more a day.

Think I need new walking boots!

Woodland Walks

Now that the summer has gone we have stayed away from the beach with the dogs as the sea is too rough and they love to swim.

We are back to using the footpaths that we are lucky to have close to us.

Mak loves these walks along the fields but the pheasants that keep startling him have been a bit of a pain.

But the past few weeks, hes plucked up the courage now to give them a good run for their money...as long as they keep running away from him ;)
