Dark Mornings

Normally we are up and out walking the dogs 1st thing in the morning. Now that winter is coming the dark mornings are here again its torches back out of the cupboard so we can still do our walks just now and we do get some gorgeous sunrises.

Although since the clocks will be changing soon, I think we will have to change our times, its fine just now leaving while still dark and coming home after the suns up but dont fancy the full walk in pitch black.

Floating Tea Cup

While visiting my parents last week my Mum taught me how to make a floating teacup. Her craft room is like an Aladdins cave, everything of every colour so I was spoilt for choice. I went for the black and gold and I think it turned out quite nice.

This was my first time using the glue gun, needless to say, I got my finger in the way... It never got in the way again! Once I got over the fingertip burn, blister and topped up the swear box, I was off again to finish the cup.

Much fun was had. My Mum had made 3 for her local churches flower festival.

Everyone loved them as they were something a little different.

The Squirrels

Ive been away visiting my parents last week. Thier garden is a little wildlife haven. They now have 4 squirrels that come and visit, the Mum with her three little ones. My Dad had made a pigeon proof feeder for them at the bottom of the garden.

While we were upstairs the Mum jumped on the window and started tapping with her paw to let us know there were no nuts left.

So after a quick top up, I managed to get a little picture. They are all so adorable, you can sit and watch them all day.

Late Night Walks

With the weather being so hot the past few weeks, we are walking the dogs early as we can and as late in the evening as we can once its cooled down.

Most of the day they have just been sleeping in front of the fans as its too hot.

He enjoyed the walk, chased a rabbit, a partridge and of course the ball.

Bird Feeder

We have a tree over our garden fence that we finally got around to cutting down. We got most of it down low enough for the chainsaw to finish it the next day.

But after looking at it for a while we have decided to turn it into a bird feeding station. Obviously, we have to tidy some branches up to make it look a bit better and hopefully add some bird features to it along with a bird bath.

But for now the birds have been loving the feeders and its so peaceful to watch them.
