"I've Got A Trike..."

"...you can ride it if you like. It's got a basket, a bell that rings, and things to make it look good." Apologies to Pink Floyd for tiny word adaptation!

This is my new tricycle.

It replaces a very expensive, specialist, Italian Di Blasi model which I've had for three years and a couple of weeks ago, the whole gear mechanism collapsed.

I'm having trouble getting it repaired. In fact, our local bike specialist has already tried and spectacularly failed. So, hubby has bought me this one, at a fraction of the price.

However, it's much heavier to ride, so I'm having to cut down my mileage and really put some effort in.

Gotta stay fit though and that's what it's for! My other one didn't have a basket and you gotta laugh because the basket is SO big on this one, I feel I could do a local window cleaning round with all the kit in the back - LOL!

I made four funny Christmas designs this week, featuring cheeky elves. Here's two of them. All four are on sale for a couple of days.

Cheese Scones - Yummy!

When the mood takes me and I can drag myself away from designing, it's a great joy to bake, especially on a dull and cold day.

Filling the kitchen with warmth and mouthwatering smells from the oven. What could be better? Well, eating the results of course - lol!

Here's today's cheese scones. They're not gonna last long... And here's two of today's designs. One for the girls, one for the boys. Hope you like them. Cx

Sheer Joy

I've been trawling through some old negatives and scanning them for digital storage and I came across this beauty. This is my mum and dad-in-law on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

I can't remember what the joke was but thought I would share this photo with you because it captured the sheer joy of the moment on their faces.

Made me smile, hope you do too! Here's two of my new designs this week, one for the boys and one through a church window.

Back To Knitting

I've been so busy card designing that I have neglected some of my other hobbies, like knitting, to mention just one.

However, when my zumba teacher left for her maternity leave, I decided a little project like a baby cardigan would be a good way to kick start the old habit.

I've been knitting since I was about seven, when my mum taught me and I've made countless items over the years.

Some where fabulous, even if I say so myself. Others went straight to the charity shop. You can't win them all!

This little darling design has turned out ok, I think. Here's my two very latest designs, one for Christmas and one for all year round.

Black Swan

Just one of the amazing sights at Leeds Castle last week. This was the first time I'd seen black swans, not just close up, but close enough to feed.

They were quite feisty and put all the other white swans, geese and ducks in their place, but what a magnificent site!

Here's a couple of my swan themed cards, ideal for all romantic occasions.
