Ah, I've been trawling through photos and having happy memories. This is the tower at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford, lit up on the night of the 2012 opening ceremony, which I was fortunate enough to attend.
It was a fabulous experience which I shall never forget. I looked up a couple of facts about the tower for you, so here they are; it was designed by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond.
The massive 115-metre steel and glass structure described as a 'daring, imaginative and exhilarating' work of public art, is also known as the ArcelorMittal Orbit.
That's because Britain's richest man, Lakshmi Mittal, donated the steel and even loaned most of the £22.7 million required for its construction.
He has lifetime naming rights over the tower, and probably had some of the best views of the Games. Here's a couple of value sheets from my Stacked Star Toppers range - make two cards from each sheet , plus all of my designs are on sale this weekend,

... I was taking a bath! Well, not me actually, but my grand-daughter, although I got pretty wet with all that splashing. Kids just love the water don't they? It's such a joy to watch her having this much fun.
Here's two of my recent designs, one for wedding or anniversary and the other featuring a cute chihuahua sketch.

So there I was, working hard in the garden, clearing out the chicken run to keep my girls happy. Then my little Lavender Pekin bantam (Clover) decided it was time for a rest, and she settled happily on the edge of my wheelbarrow.
She made me smile and I didn't have the heart to disturb her, so I took the hint and made myself a cup of coffee.
We sat a while, discussing world affairs, then I had to move her on, otherwise she would be the first to complain if her clean and fresh bed wasn't ready for her!
On the subject of chicks, here's a couple of my birdie designs, both with shooting stars at the moment!

Here's a very close up photo of one of the vibrant red flowers on my Christmas cactus plant. It doesn't always flower at exactly the right time every year, but this year it's done me proud!
So, I have no need to buy a poinsettia, which is just as well because I don't seem to be able to keep them alive.
Best wishes to all of you. It's time to move on from Christmas now, so here's a couple of Spring themed cards, one with a gold star.

We had some bad fogs and spooky mists last week. Here's a picture of friends on a walk near the sea wall at Goldhanger in Essex. It was beautiful along the sea wall. The tide was out and the salt marsh on full display. Splendid and desolate!
Just as it was time to head home at sunset, the spooky mist came rolling up to make our legs disappear.
