I spent a day last week walking around London, seeking out some of the exhibits on the Paddington Bear Trail.

It was great fun and I was amazed at how many I could photograph without too much background people interference.

This is Bear Humbug designed by Ant & Dec.

There is speculation about their design. Was it inspired by their trademark black suits and white shirts, possibly? The black and white stripes of their beloved football team, Newcastle United, perhaps? Or maybe it represents one of their favourite kinds of sweets? You decide.

It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and my girl friends really spoilt me with a night out at an "all you can eat" Chinese and Indian restaurant.

The choice of dishes on the menu was phenomenal and it was quite a treat to have my favourite Chinese crispy duck starter followed by my favourite Indian chicken korma main dish, with all the accompaniments, of course!

Then out came a gorgeous cake that one of my talented friends had made, a Happy Birthday sing song, finishing with tea/coffee and cake sampling.

This is the remains which I took home, to make my birthday last a few more days.

How old - aah, that would be telling, luckily the evidence was already eaten before the photograph was taken. Here's my two latest designs, perfect for birthday girls! I hope you like them. Christine x

Had a lovely five day break in Devon last week and one day we explored the coast around Ilfracombe.

This deep crevice cut into the rock caught my eye, with all of the vegetation growing on a such a rocky surface, the sea below and houses high on top of the cliff.

Just thought it made an interesting shot with so many different elements. Here's two of my recent designs. I hope you like them. Christine x

Well, just look at this cute corgi that I captured on film at the local dog show. It was quite an extravaganza, with a Guiness Book of Records attempt which we are still awaiting the result of (more next time, maybe).

Grand though it was, the queen wasn't on the other end of this little beauty's lead. I just love the way this dog is posing and looks so happy! Is she actually smiling? I like to think so... No, you've not developed double vision. Two of my Light Sussex hens, obviously with their eye on the same thing. Can't remember what, probably food! Light Sussex hens are a really beautiful breed and very friendly to have around the garden.

The Sussex chicken is a dual purpose breed of chicken that originated in England around the time of the Roman conquest of Britain in AD 43.
