I had a lot of fun in Singapore airport, if only all airports were like that. This was very difficult to photograph, it is called The Jewel which is is a large domed structure - I have photographed it from the train which goes around visiting each terminal.

The water falls from a great height through a circular hole in the roof and cascades down through a hole in the floor where it goes around like a whirlpool.

Somewhere amongst all those trees are shops on different levels. I was so amazed by the waterfall that I didnt bother with the shops.

I have just returned from a fantastic holiday around the other side of the world. Here I am in the most amazing garden I have ever seen - The Orchid Garden in Singapore. What an incredible place, I was surrounds by the most beautiful orchids.

This photo just does not do it justice at all. Every direction I looked in I could see nothing but orchids. Singapore is so clean , what an amazing country.

My husband was fed up with the English rain and cold so he booked us a last minute break in the Canary Islands, Gran Canaria to be exact.

It was lovely to have some late autumn sunshine. I am beginning to wonder why I didnt stay longer.

I really dont like the cold wet weather we have in the UK but I am not going on holiday now until half way through February.

Last weekend my art group had their 20th annual exhibition. I am a founder member and it is great to see so many people who now paint every week because of something I helped to set up.

All the members are very friendly and will help each other progress. .I exhibited the two paintings shown below, they are of Staithes in Yorkshire.

Me and my husband stayed there for a few days earlier in the year and I took lots of photos so I could paint them when I got home.

Just as well really because I sold these two.

I have another exhibition in a couple of weeks with a different art group so I will have to get cracking and paint some more pictures.

We have just returned from a fabulous two week holiday in Croatia. Not somewhere we have been before so it was an adventure for us both. The first week we stayed in Porec in the north.

From there we took the bus to Pula which has many Roman ruins including the coliseum which you can see in the photo.

We had a lovely day walking around the town. I will definitely be going back, its a beautiful place.
