F-35 lightning creating vapour after takeoff! They fly so fast you can actually see the vapour forming with the naked eye. You dont need a long lens to see itTuesday was a fun day quite a few launches but the best were from the lightnings.
The just go its unreal how they just glide into the sky. But they knock out some serious noise when close to them. The ground vibrations are really cool too
Aviano Jets are back in town for deployment.F-16 Vipers are staying at RAF Lakenheath till their runway has been repaired ..
Not sure how long they are here for but they give us a lovely show so I am not going to complain.555th FS Triple Nickel from Aviano AFB in Italy they are from, they seem to come to us roughly twice a year ...
Also they have been included within the Cobra Warrior Exercise at Waddington so they have been rather busy whilst here..Not sure whats in store for me Friday when I visit
Here we have the F-35 Lightning, I got quite close with this one , You can even see the pilot through the front screen.Looks quite menacing just sitting there on the grass ready to pouch!
I caught this last week on my visit, they were really busy there and hot pitting.. which meant they came in and filled up with gas and flew out again on sorties.To be honest they didnt stop.
But thats how I like it.The only downside is getting up at 4am so I am there early to park.But if you need that shot you have to take the good with the bad!

Just look at the gleam on this F-15 StrikeEagle. Taken Tuesday this week.
It came in to RAF Lakenheath for a low approach and made a quick turn into the sun , it caught it beautifully and gave it it just a little blue tinge.They are actually bluey in colour but you never really see it up close just the changes in the light made it truly stand out.While we were visiting this week the Dutch F-35s came in too that was great to see.
They joined for a 2 day exercise .Thanks for taking the time to read. I have lots of new designs this week too
Here she is the new F-15e heritage jet for the USAF 70th Anniversary The 494th Fighter Squadron Jet was chosen Its just stunning ! painted with the Statue of Liberty and all in US patriotic colours!
I caught it at RiAT Fairford at the air show Was really quite a surprise to see something so patriotic!
Its done with precision and so beautiful.I know Im biased I cant help it , Im hoping to get up close and personal with it in the very near future
