A Seattle Icon Since its grand opening on April 21, 1962, the landmark continues to symbolize the innovative and forward-thinking spirit of Seattle.
Located at Seattle Center, the Space Needle stands at 605 feet tall and is one of the most photographed structures in the worldThis is what visited last week whilst also celebrating my youngest daughters wedding!OMG was it high and when I got out of the lift that took us to the top I use couldnt move!
I hate heights , I mustve sat on the bench for a good 30 mins before I could move. But when I did what a view. You could see all of Seattle and beyond. It even had a glass floor you could walk on.
I didnt walk on that I have to add but glad I got to the top

I had the privilege of an invite to Crows Fini flight yesterday. His last fight for 494th FS from Lakenheath. And what a show it wasThe flight and the ceremony after was just something special.
Ive never been to anything like it and whilst I enjoyed it it was an eye opener to what goes on in the military.I met crow 5 years ago at RIAT and been photographing him ever since.
Hes now off to his new base to learn a new skill of flying the F-35a lightning. So he may be moving for now but hopefully be back in the future

I just love this one taken this week. F-15 loading on the go!Caught it nicely as its coming into land just over the weapons van looks like its being loaded while its on the move.
Not many times you get shots like this.
I do like something different from anyone elses shots. It can be done you just need to keep an eye out before it happens

The boss bird has arrived for the 493rdFSThe new F-35a will stand along with the 495th FS. Only one at the moment for the Reapers Sqaudron but more are on their way.
They are very nimble and can come in to land from very high and just drop in Im getting to like their versatility to be honest but for me they will never replace the F-15c but thats my opinion

On Wednesday of this week I did my weekly visit to RAF Lakenheath and caught the last 4 F-15Cs from 493rd FS leave Lakenheath and Europe for the very last time.
The F-15cs &Ds have served for 45 years keeping our skies safe!
Was a sad day really, Ive watched these aircraft for years and now they are gone forever and will be replaced by the F-35A to fill the 493rd once againThe weather was just as our moods were sad and dreary so this was the best I could do.
God Bless Our GrimReapers
