The latest post box topper on our dog walk is now up, and it is dedicated to Remembrance Day.
As you may know, this memorial day has been observed in Commonwealth member states since the end of the First World War to honour armed forces members who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Remembrance Day is also commemorated in several non-Commonwealth countries. The topper is an impressive display, featuring poppies arranged around The Cenotaph, which is adorned with flags representing the United Kingdoms armed forces, along with the words We Will Remember Them.

The other day, we drove a few miles up the coast to take a walk along Frinton-on-Seas high street for a change.
Most of the shops there are independent businesses, ranging from bistros, cafes, and bars to bookshops and a shop that sells Art Deco memorabilia.
There are also many charity shops, which we enjoy browsing. As you know, I love post-box toppers, so I was very impressed with the one I saw there.
It was made by Frinton Methodist Church and is themed for Harvest, featuring lots of knitted vegetables and a scarecrow in very bright colours. This week, I added many designs to my new Walking in the Snow series.
I hope you like them! If you would like a different breed of dog or a boy or girl, please let me know by sending a support request, and I will be happy to make it for you.

Our Golden Retrievers, Billy and Sam, both have their funny little ways that make us laugh every day. Billy talks to us by mumbling. After dinner every evening, he climbs onto my lap and tells me his news, and we have a nice little chat.
Sam disappears upstairs every morning, drags his bed blanket down the stairs, and either lays on it or walks around with it in his mouth.
He also likes to steal socks if you leave them lying around. They are so cute that they can get away with anything.

Weve had a bit of a Halloween theme going on this week. On Sunday, we visited our youngest granddaughter for the day. She loves cats, and as you may have seen in my previous stories, they rescued two black kittens at different times over the last year or so.
So, we took her a Halloween gift - a Witches cat made out of black tinsel standing with its back arched.
She loved it and carried it around with her most of the day. Later in the week, on our dog walk, we noticed a new post box topper, and of course, it had to be Halloween!

We have had so much rain over the last few weeks. But there have been a few bursts of sunshine in between the showers. We took a walk in the country park in the Autumn sunshine the other day and it was quite warm.
The boys had a great run and lots of sniffs and stayed dry for once lol The country park looked beautiful and very Autumnal.
I was so happy to get this lovely picture of the boys with the fallen leaves.
