Jade City is a spot on the road in northwestern British Columbia, Canada, near the Yukon, located on Highway 37, west of Good Hope Lake and close to Cassiar, in the Cassiar Highlands.

The region around Jade City is rich with serpentinite (a jade precursor),greenstone (jade look-a-likes), and Nephrite jade.

The region is home to 92% of the worlds nephrite jade.Jade City is by road about 24 hours north of Greater Vancouver, and 1 hour south of the Yukon border.[3] As of 2015, it has a population of about 30 people.[3]Jade City is a very small town.

The two local seasonally operated businesses offer highway services and sell jade products made from nearby formations of the stone.The Bunce family have mined the area for jade for about 40 years.

Since China does not have very little Jade left most of it is shipped there.

I was lucky to go to Rome 2 weeks ago.One of the more beautiful sites was Trevi Fountain.

It was packet with tourist who tossed coins for good luck.The Trevi Fountain is a fountain in the Trevi district in Rome, Italy, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Pietro Bracci.

Standing 26.3 metres (86 ft) high and 49.15 metres (161.3 ft) wide, it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world.

The fountain has appeared in several notable films, including Federico Fellinis La Dolce Vita.Legend holds that in 19 BC thirsty Roman soldiers were guided by a young girl to a source of pure water thirteen kilometres (8.1 miles) from the city of Rome.

The discovery of the source led Augustus to commission the construction of a twenty-two-kilometre (14-mile) aqueduct leading into the city, which was named Aqua Virgo, or Virgin Waters, in honour of the legendary young girl.

The aqueduct served the hot Baths of Agrippa, and Rome, for over four hundred years.The fountain was refurbished in 1998; the stonework was scrubbed and all cracks and other areas of deterioration were repaired by skilled artisans and the fountain was equipped with recirculating pumps.In January 2013, it was announced that the Italian fashion company Fendi would sponsor a 20-month, 2.2-million-euro restoration of the fountain; it will be the most thorough restoration in the fountains history.[10]Restoration work began in June 2014 and was completed in November 2015.

The fountain was reopened with an official ceremony on the evening of November 3, 2015. The restoration included the installation of more than 100 LED lights to improve the nighttime illumination of the fountain

Many of the carriages in the Remington Museum were used in his lifetime.Queen Elizabeth II of Canada along with her husband Prince Philip and her son Prince Charles rode in a Remington landau carriage whilst visiting Canada in 1973 and again whilst visiting in 1980.

You may remember the movie made with the same name. George Woolf is the Jockey who rode this horse in 1938 against the other hose named War Admiral wining by 4 lengths a horse considered unbeatable.

About a month ago we visited the Valley of fire state park just outside Las Vegas. Located approximately 50 miles north of Las Vegas. Take Interstate 15 north; exit on Highway 169.It is the oldest state park in Nevada. Prices from: $10 per vehicle. Annual passes are available for $75.

Camp sites are $20 per night plus $10 per night for utility hookups. Petrified wood & red sandstone are 2 of the natural features found at this hiking & camping spots.

Also keep an eye out for the big horn sheep.

A lot of people do not realize this wonderful park is right outside Las Vegas.The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is another park half hour from sin city. If you look really close you can see the Elephant in the lovely red stone. :)
