White Lavender

My garden is looking gorgeous at the moment and is starting to burst into flower. I have a very small garden, with no beds, so all my plants are in pots. Much watering is involved, but they look beautiful. A recent addition this year is this unusual white lavender.

I havent seen one of this variety before (its called Lavendula Edelweiss) and i just had to have it. It smells divine, and the bees love it.

Proud Pumpkins

I am extraordinarily pleased that I managed to grow 2 whole pumpkins in my very own garden this year! woo hoo!

They are a turks turban and a sweet dumpling. I actually planted five different squash plants, but only these 2 fruits arrived.

I love having ornamental pumpkins in my home during spooky season, and I was determined to grow my own this year.

Mission accomplished!

Beautiful Sunflowers

It is my first proper attempt at serious gardening this year. One of my firsts, is growing sunflowers. All of these beauties came from the same seed packet, and they have ended up differing shades of red, orange and yellow.

I couldnt measure how tall they got, as they got too tall, but they were level with the bottom of the upstairs bedroom window!

There were three plants, and each one had around seven flowers on them. They eventually got too heavy for them to stand upright, so i cut them and will enjoy them for a while longer in my front room x

Stunning Sunset

I am lucky enough to have a west facing front room, with a large set of patio doors, so we get to see some gorgeous sunsets.

This one was especially gorgeous, and I took a photo so I could share it with my crafty friends.

It lit the clouds up neon pink and orange and was spectacular. It lasted for a few minutes, colours changing every few seconds. Beautiful!

Clouds

I saw these amazing clouds recently and I had to take a photo to show everybody here. It looks like the shapes sand makes just under the water on a beach. Fabulous! The pattern went across the whole of the sky, must have been some unusual wind patterns up there!
