With four adults and a new baby in the house, there isn't much opportunity for a bit of peace and quiet - until now, that is.
We have a summerhouse in the garden which was more or less used for storing junk.
A couple of weeks ago, we decided to clear it out, line the walls for insulation, paint it, and add a new carpet, curtains and sofa.
Now we have a little haven that we can escape to whenever we feel the need. It's a super place to sit with the laptop, so I'm getting some quiet designing time, too. Bliss. These are 2 of my Framed Easel Card Mini Kits. I hope you like them.

This gorgeous little lady is the reason I haven't been doing much designing lately. She's my great-granddaughter Niamh Grace who was born on Monday. She's the first baby born in our family for almost twenty years, so she's a very welcome addition. She's keeping us all very busy.
I haven't lost my touch with feeding and nappy changing. The best bit is having so much cuddle time, and of course, not having to do the night feeds. Grandchildren are a blessing, but great grandchildren are a double blessing. These are 2 of my recent designs. I hope you like them.

We spotted this delightful family of swans whilst walking along the banks of the Caledonian Canal in Inverness this week.
The cygnets were so cute. When we first saw them they had been hitching a lift on their mum's back over at the other side of the canal.
They obligingly crossed over to our side and lined up for a photo shoot although one little chap was less adventurous and stayed with mum.
She looks so proud of her little family. These are 2 of my recent designs. I hope you like them.

My granddaughter Emily is nearing the end of her Creative Industries course at college at the moment. Her class staged a showcase which was attended by family, friends and fellow students along with members of staff and management.
They displayed their photography, art and film-making skills.
The level of talent was amazing. Emily's photographs, some of which are in the attached photo, drew some very favourable attention. They were particularly impressive as they were all taken on her iPhone. It was a super evening.
Many of the students are going on to specialise is subjects such as art or drama and I'm sure we're going to hear some real success stories in the future.
These are 2 of my Window Dressing Card Mini Kits. I hope you like them. Thank you.

Tigers and polar bears roaming the Highlands? Well, yes and no. On bank holiday Monday, my daughter, granddaughter, granddaughter's boyfriend and I went to the Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig near Kingussie.
I'm not keen on zoos, but the animals have lots of room to roam at the park, and are well cared for.
We spent ages watching the two polar bears having fun in their pond. There are four beautiful Amur tigers there, too. Some of the animals are new to me. Have you heard of a goral or a mishmi takin? I hadn't. It made for a very interesting day out.
My favourites have to be these Japanese Snow Monkeys. They had several little babies that were so cute and cheeky. These are 2 of my Cut Corners Card Mini Kits. Thank you for looking.
