Wild Winter

Well January has been wet and wild so far. We did have snow yesterday but the rain came back and washed all the snow away. The winds have been bad all this week and the days dark so taking photos of the cards I have made has been a struggle.

Just not enough daylight. The tree in the photo is opposite my house. This poor tree lost one of its branches and some of its trunk last year in the high winds and lost another branch last week.

Not much of the trunk left so the local council came yesterday and cut it down completely. Sad really.

We have lived in our house for 32 years this May and the tree has always been there. Beautiful in the summer. Gorgeous in the autumn. Hopefully they will plant another tree to take its place. Two of my latest and favourite cards.

Back From Brazil

Well I am home safe and sound and had a great time in Brazil with my daughter Laura. We had a wonderful Christmas. The streets and shopping centres in Sao Paulo have such gorgeous Christmas decorations. Since arriving home, I have today uploaded my 16014 card photo.

Wow.

Loved every minute of making every card I can tell you. Looking forward to seeing all the new amazing designs the designers are bringing to the site.

So spoiled for choice. Wishing everyone a wonderful 2015. Two of my latest and favourite cards.

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone. Finished my last treatment at the hospital in November and I am doing fine. I have to take a tablet every day for the next 4 plus years but a small price to pay to be cancer free.

Onwards and upwards.

What a difference a year makes. I am here in Sao Paulo with my daughter Laura. We will be celebrating Christmas together. Sadly her dad had to stay home and work so a girly Christmas. The decorations in the streets are amazing. Feels like Christmas even though it is hot. Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and a happy healthy 2015. Margaret My two favourite cards this month

Hugs And Roses

I arrived at the hospital last Tuesday for my three weekly treatment of herceptin when one of the nurses gave me a hug and these beautiful roses.

The reason? A few weeks earlier she had asked me to make her a card for a Golden Wedding.

I made her Valerie Dawes giant easel Golden Wedding card, cup 177369_203 and Julie Hutching?s Golden Wedding cake, cup 552222_1483.

She was so impressed and delighted with these gorgeous cards. The nurses and staff at my hospital have been so wonderful to me over the last 11 months of my treatment that I often give them a bundle of my cards as a thank you and they love them all.

I tell them it is not me they should thank but the great designers on the Craftsuprint website. They have the talent. I just make the cards. Here are two of the latest cards I have made. Here are two of the latest cards I have made.

Meet Rio

As you may or may not know I am cat daft. I am owned by two gorgeous cats at the moment called Mylo and Orlando ?

Orly for short. A few weeks ago I received a call from Guide Dogs for the Blind asking if I would like to sponsor a puppy called Rio.

A sign I thought to myself. My daughter lives in Brazil and sometimes works in Rio. The World Cup was the last thing on my mind. So I am now the proud sponsor of Rio. He is adorable. I receive regular updates on how he is progressing.

Over the next two years he will learn lots of things like stopping at kerbs, coping with rush hour traffic etc and eventually he will be placed with an owner who really needs his help. The cost is so little.

Only around £8 per month. I spend way more than this buying designs from the site so was so pleased to be able to help.

If anyone is interested there are lots of puppies needing sponsorship and you can check this out at their website www.sponsorapuppy.org.uk. Here are two of my favourite designs.
