News & Updates from Kirsty Green

My daughter bought me some flowers for Mothers Day. As I love flowers & purple these were the perfect gift for me. I showed her how to arrange them in a vase & also showed her a few examples.
I could have done these myself but I was interested to see what Elizabeth would do. So I gave here a vase & left her to it. I was quite surprised to she what she had made, she had gone & got more vases to make a whole table display.
I think she did a fab job & they look great.

The Cherry trees on our drive have been in full bloom for a while now. I woke up this morning & there had been a light breeze overnight. So our dive had a beautiful dressing of untouched pink petals.
I thought it looked so perfect I just had to take this picture & show you. By tomorrow they will have turned brown though.

I was working in this beautiful garden today. I love my job & you can see why. Who wouldn't like doing a couple of hours gardening with this as your view. Not everybody was happy though, I was working very near to the bird feeders.
I had loads of different types of birds in the near by bushes giving me the evil eye & chirping at me to move out of the way so they could get to the feeders LOL.

I went to my friends house the other day. Her cat had had kittens. I couldn't wait to hold one & mum was happy for me too hold her baby. She did keep a close eye on me & her baby though.
Luckily I had my camera with me & so I got a lovely picture. My friend new that she was close to her due date & made a great cardboard box home, it was even lined with a baby blanket.

Well the first sign of Spring is here with my snowdrops & cyclamen. I love snowdrops they are all over my garden. The only problem I have with them is that they are very close to the surface of the soil & this makes planting other plants a bit difficult.
Usually I see them poking through the snow, but we have not had any snow this Winter which is very strange.
