We came home from a meeting and was greeted by a fallen tree. No one was around. Neighbors were not home. The yard just. Looked like we had lots of bushes. The tree had lost a limb. It split the bark and slowly peeled off.
It fell on our garden and grotto. No damage just lots of leaves, branches all around. It took the tree service a whole day to remove the debris and tree. Wonder if ther is a way to make this experience into a popup/popdown card?

Visited the Newberry library in Chicago to see their popup card exhibit. There were many great examples of the first mechanical popup cards and books used for various delights. At the end of the tour we were given a popup of the Newberry library to assemble.
We were not allowed to handle the libraries books but the display and video recording was very interesting.

I planted Iris bulbs two years ago and today they began to bloom. Their fragrance are so sweet and the flowers delicate. These were from a friends garden. Im not sure if there is anything special that must be done to keep them blooming each year.
Iris was one of the flowers that my mother had in her garden.

Every year my firm peony blues on Mothers Day. This year it was very pretty. The secret is to use a tomato cage to support the long stems. This holds the plant together. I have a traditional peony that I use this same method. It should bloom by Memorial Day.
Its blooms are much more impressive with its double full bloom..

Easter cactus or Christmas cactus. Someone must have told my Christmas cactus to bloom at Easter this year. At Christmas I research this plant at Christmas when it bloomed. But… guess what. Its blooming now also. Im excited since the first flower should bloom on Sunday.
Wish I could figure out how to make a popup cactus card.
