Staying at home gets harder each day. With the sale of their home came the opportunity to travel the wide open spaces in the USA. This airstream is self contained with show lavatory, kitchen, satellite and more. It will sleep 4 but is perfect for two adults and their cats.

Im a little envious to be flexible and travel. Stay safe in the wide open spaces will provide stories for years to come.

We live in a fantasy land at the moment. It wants to snow but its too warm. Instead the trees are covered in ice. Today the dog gingerly trotted out the door on his trolley lead cord to find it the trolley wheels frozen.

He didnt get far from the back porch. I think I will stay home, darn, another day. Ha, ha.

I know there are different types of Christmas cactus. I have one that blooms twice a year, Christmas (Thanksgiving) and Easter. But this year it is really early, Halloween. Spooky, right? Must be something like global warming, sun shine, shorter days. Whatever it is I love to see it blooming.

Do you have one blooming?

This might be an annual visit. There are only a few weeks in a year when the sunflowers are in bloom. This was a wonderful place to visit and get inspiration. It was amazing to see how the flowers follows the sun.

One flower on each plant with the stems about an inch in diameter. We walked around following a path and got into the rows and the bees.

Every time I go for a walk with my dog we are on the look out for something new in nature.

Mostly what is blooming at the time. This week we discovered a different natural beauty. The mushroom caps just seem to be hovering between the wall and some moss.

The contrast in color was refreshing to see. Im going to try and remember where we saw them to see how the grow as fall starts to come to Iowa.
