This delightful pen and watercolour topper lends itself to be used for all celebrations, even sympathy. I printed the topper(size10.5cm Square),onto Crafty Bob's Gloss Card and used a pen glue onto a copy paper image the same size to back it with, for stability.
I set this aside while I prepared the main Card. The main card is textured dark pink (28x14cm),scored and folded. To this card and each backing squares, I used a matching permanent pen to edge all sides. Using double sided tape (D.S) I attached a lighter pink textured card(13cmx13cm) then deep Olive green textured card(12.5x12.5cm. I set this aside while I completed the topper. I used Crafty Bob's Matt white card ( 11.5x11.5cm) and edged it with a purple permanent pen to make it stand out and reflect the darker colours in the art work. Using D.S. I attached the topper. I then attached the 3cm wide Olive green organza ribbon with Crafty Bob's Super red tape onto the back of the white card leaving the front firm and flat, but loose.. I used Crafty Bob's Padded roll tape to mount this to the completed card front. I used a length of the same ribbon to tie a bow, 5cm up from the bottom of the card, pulling the first knot firmly to actually scrunch the ribbon. This was to make the flowers appear as a bouquet. I backed the sentiment with Olive green and added 2 purple gems.
What a summer breeze card with an absolutely delightful outcome. I have made several of these now for my stash, in a couple of different sizes. Even a couple at 5cm Square for attaching as gift cards.
Thank you for such a beautiful card topper to work with.

I printed this lovely design onto good quality photo paper then mounted onto white card. I added decoupage using 2 mm thick foam pads
Printed and cut out design pieces including cup908172_79993 and cup 858724_79993. A piece of the background paper was cut slightly smaller than the front of base card, mounted onto black card with DST and trimmed to leave a narrow border before securing to front of white base card with DST.
Main topper was mounted onto black card with DST, trimmed to leave a narrow border and secured centrally to the front of the card with foam pads.
The matching insert was secured with DST and card completed with matching pink satin ribbon around the spine of the card.
I will add an appropriate sentiment later. Love this design, Clare.
