Printed and cut out design pieces, as well as matching background paper (cup939172_79993) and insert (cup939175_79993). I made a white easel card and cut 3 pieces of background design (slightly smaller than front of easel base, slightly smaller than front of easel upright and slightly smaller than the front of the easel card. Each piece of background design was mounted onto black card with DST, trimmed to leave a narrow border and then secured to each part of the easel card with DST. The main topper from this design sheet was then mounted onto black card with DST and trimmed to leave a narrow border. Before securing this to the front of the easel card I cut a piece of white card the exact size and secured to reverse of topper (so the back side of the easel is all white). This was then secured to front of easel with foam pads, along with decoupage. I used one of the sentiments (secured with foam pads) to act as a 'stopper'.
For the second card a piece of background paper was cut slightly smaller than the front of base card, mounted onto black card with DST, trimmed to leave a narrow border and secured to right hand side of white base card with DST. Main design was mounted onto black card with DST, trimmed to leave a narrow border and secured on the leftt hand side with foam pads (just slightly overlapping the background design. Decoupage was added using foam pads. The matching insert was mounted onto black card with DST, trimmed to leave a narrow border and secured inside card with DST. Card was completed with matching satin ribbon around the spine of the card. Both these lovely designs are very easy to make up and suitable for a variety of occasions.
I just wanted to have more cards with Clare's amazing watercolors in my collection. So I decided to try all possible combinations of matching backgrounds, front cards and inserts. I printed the images onto the professional watercolor paper, cut them out and attached to the contrast (or matching) color mats.
I also added some brads, ribbons or other embellishments if it was necessary to complete my card.
