Exploding Verse -birthday Roses
All the cuts in these designs are straight lines making them easy to cut out. The front is a layered octagon which just needs the layers sticking in place with sticky foam pads. The verse inside explodes when the card is opened.
They look impressive when opened but are very easy to make. The verse reads;- You're always very special and you should know todaythat you are wished the nicest things that life can bring your way.
Like warm and loving wishes, happiness and cheer and everything you need to start another happy year.

I printed the main image and pyramage layers onto photo paper and all the 'explosion' sheets onto 100gsm paper.
The first time I made the explosion element I had got the octagons at the wrong angles - so I reprinted the two sheets and did the folding first and added the octagons at the end.
I made a card, to fit both the card front and the exploding inner, from a pearlised white textured card.
I added the inner and glued the 'explosion' into place. I added all the pyramage layers with foam pads and finished with one of the sentiments.
This is a beautiful card to look out but when you open it the wow factor is tremendous. If you have not tried one of these designs, I urge you to do so - They are stunning!!
