News & Updates from Vicki Avcin ~ AusCrafts · Page 7

Well the soccer season is over and awards have been handed out. Last news I told about the grand daughter winning their Grand Final and they were awarded their medal and trophy on the day.
However the adults had their award night and my daughter and her partner both won awards. Daughter was Coaches pick for Player of the Year and her partner was awarded The Rocky Award which was for her dedication to the game over the entire season.
The team themselves are for over 35s and apart from two this was everyone elses first season playing social soccer.
They made the semi finals but were beaten in the semi game. Not bad for a bunch of old women that had never played soccer before. So proud of all of them for their efforts this season. Was great to go and cheer them on even on the cold raining nights. This weeks designs are both Christmas Toppers kits.

Last Sunday was a busy day. First off down to the park on the waterfront for our grandsons 10th Birthday. Was a fun filled day where everyone got wet! No it didnt rain.
There is a small water park with water cannons but because of the number of other kids parties his Mum had arranged other water activities.
Water Bombs, water pistols and nerf guns. So lots of wet kids. Trying to light the candles on his cake was a mission as there was quite a sea breeze blowing and they were going out faster than I was lighting them.
So we did things a little back to front and he blew the candles out before we sang Happy Birthday.
Once it was cut it was so yummy. Then when that finished I messaged my daughter as her step daughter was playing touch football on the other side of town.
Her step daughter made the Top 8 teams the day before, so they were doing play offs.
They made top 4 so we headed off from the park to where they were playing being that we had time to get there while they were still in it.
A game was in progress which if they won theyd be in the grand final. So we got there in time to watch the girls play off in the GF.
The team they were up against had not lost a game all season so everything was crossed that the grand daughters team could pull a win out of the bag.
Five minutes to go and scores were locked at 3 -3. Then 2 mins to go our team scored which decided the final score 4-3. So proud of the effort the grand daughter put in and helped them win.
This weeks designs are both DL size cards, one for Christmas and one for Birthday

Been a busy few weeks and to end the events, it was my daughters 41st Birthday early in August. As the family has been so busy with wedding and pre wedding events we had a lunch for her on the Saturday.
A couple of her co workers and the immediate family attended with a lovely lunch at Grilld. Her partner had a gluten free chocolate cake made as her children are gluten intolerant. I must say I think its one of the best chocolate cakes Ive ever eaten.
We all enjoyed ourselves and it was great to get together (although we had all been at the grand daughters wedding a couple of weeks earlier) and be able to chat.
But so much going on at weddings its difficult to just sit and chill and talk. This week deigns are both for Christmas. Activity Books and placemats. Great to put in kids stockings or on the Christmas table to keep the kids occupied. Wedding activities also available.

Well a week after her bridal shower (last weeks news) our grand daughter tied the knot with the love of her life.
They met in high school, went to her prom together, stayed friends until about 2 years ago when they got serious.
I swore I wouldnt cry when my son entered with Chloe on his arm but well it mustve been dusty in that little chapel.
When I first saw her I gasped, she was gorgeous, stunning and beautiful and I was so full of love for both of them.
The look on the grooms face was just so full of love as she came to join him and say their vows to become husband and wife.
Afterwards the reception was lovely and it went on into the night after the speeches, dinner, cutting the cake with lots of dancing and catching up with people.
Photos include my daughter with her brother (father of the bride) and with sons son. The happy couple honeymooned in the Maldives…….
What a wonderful start to their new life as Mr and Mrs. This weeks designs are both kits. One for a wedding with several topper and with Christmas coming a set of Santa Clause toppers. My sale is currently on too.

A few weeks ago I attended a bridal shower for my grand daughter. Such excitement as it came up to her wedding to the love of her life.
My son, her dad, drove us down to the winery in a huge limousine, as he drives them on the weekends for a job.
We all got in and off we went, lovely Sunday drive to Sarabah Winery. The day was sunny but windy and cool. The Bride to Be looked lovely in a white dress and it gave us a chance to speculate how lovely shed look on the wedding day.
I got to meet her fiances mother and the oldies all sat in the back of the limo and chatted like weve known each other for years.
The young ones sat forward and had the music cranked. Lovely lunch of various pizzas including dessert pizzas, a lot of wine and then back home in the limo.
Was a wonderful afternoon to help her celebrate the upcoming wedding in a weeks time, especially after a horror few months for me.
