This Wednesday I visited RAF Lakenheath for the first time this year. The new F35As are now flying daily sorties to get used to the training and such like. They are pilots not used to lakenheaths way of life. They are new to the country just like the F35s.
Anyway I caught one taxing out to take off and if you look bottom left if the photo there is a hare running along side the aircraft!
It really tickled me that such a small thing could give that stunning new airframe a run for its money I didnt see it at the time of shooting it was only when I got home to edit I noticed.
It really did make me chuckle.
Is is Lunch time yet I can see him saying with his tongue licking his lips... This is the baby of the cubs ans as you can see he is adult size now...
He will probably in January be seeking a mate..The others are slightly bigger than this one as this one was the smallest..
You can see how he just waits for Lunch they all do, However this week has been a bit sparce with visits, Not sure if the weather kept them away or what but they were not their normal selves this week thats for sure..I do wonder if I will be brought all the new cubs to see next year...Anyway thats it from me Happy New Year to all of you!Hope 2022 is the year for you!!
Last Fox photo from me this year. The fox dog is now getting ready to mate again early next year. So heres the last photo of him for now. Im hoping he will bring his next lot of babies to see me early may.
I should think he will still visit daily as he now knows food is available daily if he cant hunt anything down.
The cubs are still coming too so I know they havent least one meal in the day with the weather getting colder now.

Just look at this sneaky vixen spying over the top of the hill… she watched one of her offspring take some food Id put out for them.
She watched him take it dig a hole and bury it.
Once hed done that she came over the hill chased him off dug up the food and ate it.It was really funny to watch but I did feel fr the cub she chased off as he hadnt eaten anything he was saving for later,,The other cubs had had something to eat so I added more so the one that missed out had some.
But thats what they do in the wild I spose only the fittest survive.God only knows how many Ill have next year to feed as the 4 cubs are now grown enough to have their own family
Am I wrong to think he sat there smiling at me saying hello?This is exactly what I thought this week when Fox Dog came down for Lunch..
I was looking out the conservatory window and he just appeared staring at me, And that stare I knew it was dinner time..So I waited no more I got the food ready and went out into garden but firstly getting my camera ready so when they all came I was ready.He just sat there looking at me...
I was smiling to myself as I picked up the camera expecting him to move back as he normally does, But he didnt!
He sat and smiled and I could almost hear hi m saying hello....
I know he didnt but it sure looked like it..So I took a few shots then gave them all their dinner...
They scoffed all that and off they went to probably have a little sleep..
