When we chose our Golden Retriever Billy from his litter, we chose the biggest, darkest boy. However, when we went to visit him at the breeders, one of the little girls climbed on my lap, and I fell in love.
She was the smallest and the lightest—she was tiny.
But we were strong and only bought one dog home. Although some of us owners have kept in touch online, I have never met them in person. Until today! When Billy and little Grace were reunited after nearly 7 years.
She was a little overwhelmed by my big crazy boys at first, but we took them to the beach, and her and Billy bonded and had a great time.
We are hoping to meet up again very soon.
As my son is an actor, he is usually around to care for our granddaughter Daisy while her mummy is at work.
But he is away working at the moment, so good old grandad has stepped up to collect Daisy from school and feed and entertain her till mummy gets home.
He had lots of fun decorating Daisys nails using the gift that came with her comic. I think you will agree he did a very good job.
I will be able to go with him in a few weeks, when our daughter can look after the dogs, so I think I might help her to make some cupcakes.

Last month my daughters rescue dog Cookie had to have an operation on her cruciate ligament. Recovery is slow, but steady after these operations, but Cookie took it all in her stride.
We lent them our soft puppy crate so that she had somewhere she could be safe if they had to leave her at all.
From the first day, before she had even had her op, she went straight in. Now she is almost recovered; she loves the crate and has made it her own, so my daughter offered to buy it from us.
We of course said no Cookie can have it.
When we saw this picture of her looking so cute in her crate, how could we take it from her?
I thought you might like to see a very interesting piece of artwork that has appeared outside the lifeboat shop on the seafront.
We walk past the lifeboat station every day on our dog walk, and one of the crew members has made this welly boot dog out of lifeboat crews old boots.
It seems to be a growing trend as they appear at different stations all over the country. They are so fun and the dogs were fascinated!
I get so excited when I see the new post box topper in the distance. We were having a lovely walk with the dogs in the sunshine, so the new topper was very fitting. Its Spring! I love the colourful flowers that the lady has knitted.
What happy sight to see! I expect the next one to be Easter, I will let you know.
