7 Month Comparison Picture by Sue Way

Well, here we go again, the comparison picture of Billy in my arms over the last 4 months, the time is just flying by! Although it doesnt look like he has grown much in the last month, believe me he has! I really had trouble picking him up this time. He is starting to look more grown up & losing that puppy look :( He still has some growing to do, but I will carrying on trying to pick him up for as long as I can. I have added lots of new Christmas designs this week, including money wallets and pinch bags. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Bryns First Christmas by Sandie Burchell

This is my Grandson, Bryn, in his cute Reindeer sweater. My Daughter, put the Christmas Tree up at the end of November! She said she couldnt wait any longer for Bryn to see it! He is absolutely fascinated by the lights. They also took him to see the lights turned on the local Village Christmas Tree and he was giggling when the lights came on! Obviously, he is not old enough to know what it is all about this year but I said to my Daughter, I hope he takes after you in the future and wakes YOU up at 4.00am on Christmas morning by jumping on YOUR bed! She was still doing that to us when she used to come and spend Christmas with us in the USA in her late twenties! I think she might be jumping on his bed actually!

These are my 2 latest Mini Kits: Christmas Fireplace Shaped Cards. Great for your last minute Christmas Cards and they are on Special Offer at the moment! Thank you for looking!

What a difference a day makes. by Vicki Avcin

Well 12 days ago the worst fire weather Queensland has seen began. Conditions totally unprecedented here for fires. Then on the 12th day the rain arrived and was just enough to help crews contain some of the fires that were still uncontrolled. Everyone was so happy to see it, feel it whether they were fighting fires, property owners in the affected areas or just Joe Blow walking down the street. Some of the stats on these fires are amazing. Over the past 12 days Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) has attended 1,243 fires across the state with more than four million hectares of land burnt during this bushfire season. We have had 55 aircraft working to support ground crews, dropping more than 12 million litres of water and fire suppressant. More than 430 bushfire community warnings have been issued since the 22nd of November, and more than 50 Emergency Alert campaigns have been issued. We have had assistance from every state and territory in Australia with 1161 people from interstate coming to help out. Official figures havent been released yet but it appears although many cars, caravans and sheds were lost it seems like only a few homes were lost. An absolutely amazing effort by our firefighters considering the conditions they had to deal with to save so many homes. Now as ex Tropical Owen lingers in the Coral Sea the east coast that was burning last week now has communities in the north of the state in danger of flooding and others dealing with wind and rain further down the coastline. Crazy crazy weather!!

After ... by Carol Clarke

... last weeks encounter of the sheepish kind I couldnt believe that the cows were getting in on the act too! A few fields away from the sheep are a series of three very large interconnected fields that are home to a herd of cows. Ive been walking through this field many times every week for a couple of years and most of the time the herd stay well away from me. But this week for some reason they decided to come and investigate! Now Ive got a healthy respect for cows and was rather worried so I retreated to the edge of the field where theres a style and stood my ground. Theres an open gate to the side of the style so I couldnt just climb over and escape but I felt I might be able to climb up and shout to attract attention. Well the cows continued their advance with this lovely girl coming right up to me. Im glad to say they were friendly and she just wanted to say hello and let me stroke her. After a while I felt brave enough to set off across the field to the next style and like the sheep last week the cows all followed me! lol Since then theyve come to say hello on a few mornings. As well and the sheep and cows theres horses and ponies in some of the fields that I stroke each day too ... It sure makes my morning walks interesting! lol Below are 2 of my NEWEST Christmas Shadow Box Cards ... Watch out for more coming soon!

I miss the snow... by Janice Shehan

I know, after 11 years in sunny Florida, I still miss the snow up north and my children too. They have been having quite a lot of the white stuff early this year. Fortunately, my daughter works from home and doesnt have to deal with it until the plows come through.Of course Im sure my granddaughters are having a wonderful time playing, skating and skiing in it. And of course my husband, Jim loved the snow too. Not for me...too old :) But I do love to design with snow and ice for my card making. So enjoy my newest designs, I hope you like them as much as I do. Christmas Blessings to everyone and a Happy 2019!!

An Early Visit from Santa

by Janice McFarlane

Well the festive period is well and truly here. Letters have been written, the annual Christmas shove, push and trampling in stores has begun, the cat has decimated the Christmas tree, the Christmas adverts are driving me crazy, with Can you Feel it blaring out for a well known online store every five minutes on TV. Ive probable forgotten to write cards for some people, and I wish it was like the Christmas I knew as a child. BAH HUMBUG! However, on a nicer note, my daughter and grandsons had an early visit from Santa at RAF Benson. In fact he has appeared three times within a week there. Wow the children are saying we must have been very good. On this occasion it was a Christmas Party, whilst my daughter and eldest grandson Alfie looked very happy to see Santa, my youngest - Harry wasnt too sure. I wonder if he has sussed him out lol. At least the family are happy. Just for the record I enjoy Christmas too!

Christmas scholarship auction

by Judith Henry

I participated in our annual Christmas silent auction this year by providing handmade cards and decorated Santa plates. There were many lively bids going on with competition for desired items. It was a successful fund raiser. We made over $1000 for scholarships to our local community college and over $100 for the Christmas Cheer fund.
