My Daughter Visited... by Janice Shehan

I was so glad to have my daughter Kelly visiting down here in Florida from Pennsylvania! She is such a ray of sunshine and she loves water sports. Here she is kayaking at a nearby river. I enjoyed watching her as I lounged on the beach :) We packed lunch and drinks and totally enjoyed our relaxing time together on a girls day out.

These are new for me and I throughly enjoyed designing them. Thanks to the artists for their creations!

Today was a Beautiful Day! by Marlo Socolov

Hi, This is my first community news post. I wanted to share my experience today. I live in Duluth, MN (USA). Duluth is about 3 1/2 hours south of Canada (Ontario). We are basically two towns - so we call it the Twin Ports here. We have Duluth, Minnesota (where I live) and then across the bridge is Superior, Wisconsin. Duluth has about 85,000 residents and Superior is about 50,000. Now, Duluth is located on the bottom tip (or top of the arrowhead if you look at that way) of Lake Superior and Lake Superior is part of the Great Lakes. I personally think Lake Superior is the prettiest out of all of the Great Lakes (and I have been on all of them). Lake Superior connects with the Great Lakes which allows ocean vessels to come into our ports. We have shipping vessels that come from Norway, Germany, Sweden and other countries. Basically they are shipping (iron ore, coal and grain) and then there is also some importing. So, we are a major port to the rest of the world. ... Now, today was a beautiful day. We have been having odd temperatures from 50 degrees to 90 degrees every other day this summer. Yes - it is driving us nuts. But, today it stayed in the 80s and it was just beautiful. When I finished my medical appointment, I decided to pick up a milkshake and drive down to the lake to sit and relax. Here is a photo of what I sat in my car and watched for a while. I almost fell asleep in the car! Now, as I type in my account of today, the skies are getting dark and a storm is coming in. So, my beautiful day is over ... But, at least I have a photo. .... marlo

I selected these two products because they reminded me of the water and blue skies we had today in Duluth.

Calling All Cat Lovers... by Clare Walker

If you love cats, gardening, and/or interesting sculptures, keep reading, because this week, I thought Id tell you about the, Whittington Park Floral Cat Sculpture (to give him his proper title). Hes just up the road from us, and the star of this picture. The Whittington theme comes about because legend has it that this is the area in which Dick Whittington decided to turn again, and become ,thrice mayor of London Town. But this living statue statue of Dick Whittingtons feline friend is altogether more modern and quirky. Hes a living sculpture (and not just fancy hedge-trimming) because hes built from sedum plants, painstakingly fitted into a wire frame. (And though the paws and tail that hold him up arent plants, they *are* made from woven recycled bicycle tubes, which is also pretty unusual).I love this sculpture, because whatever time of year you go past him, he looks different. In spring, hes a bright fresh green. In summer, a darker green as the sedum leaves mature. And now, hes just getting hints of the his autumn red coat. For me, a sculpture thats alive and always changing beats something static every time. But I hope that hes brightened your day too (and/or given you some inspiration for your garden or craft projects).

And if all this talk of Dick Whittingtons cat has made you think about Christmas, though I cant offer you a pantomime, I can offer you some Christmassy, Yule Log and Ponsettia goodness...Have a great day!

First Flight! by Tina Fitch

Well it seems a long time back now when Amber received her Wings.... She has now completed her first flight with Virgin Atlantic to New York! She had a 2 day stop over before returning home. I must admit I was a little concerned as to whether she would really like it on her own, doing training is much different from doing the real thing isnt it? But she returned all smiles and informed us its her job now for life! She absolutely loved every minute of it.Her first takeoff and landing was from the cockpit.. How lucky is that? I know thats my dream to take of from sitting in the cockpit but I doubt I will ever get to do that.. I can still dream though.Today Thursday she has taken her second flight.. off to Los Angeles today and another 2 day stopover... I think she will see the world now and I hope she enjoys every second of it.. All files in all formats only here https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

Sunset by Gillian Hutchinson

Since moving from London last February we have been enjoying the sunset from our back garden when the rain holds off. We were so used to a built up area that we had forgotten how something so simple looks so pretty. Just need to cut a couple of trees back after autumn to get the full enjoyment of it.

Beautiful Wedding by Jan Mason

We attended a beautiful wedding recently and what made it more special for us, was that our beautiful grandchildren were bridesmaids. The bride looked absolutely gorgeous, as do all brides. Thankfully the weather was fine in the daytime. I received a lovely rose plant from the bride and groom in appreciation for doing all the wedding stationary, which was a lovely touch. It has been 5 years since we last attended a wedding, so it was really nice to spend time with the family on such a beautiful occasion.

Low Ham Steam Fayre by Anne Lever

My family and I recently went to Low Ham steam fayre in Low Ham, Somerset. It is a wonderful weekend filled with everything from traction engines to horse drawn fire engines. I went to many of these in my childhood, but havent been to one in about ten years. The smell of the steam and the sound of the whistles brought back many a wonderful childhood memory.

High School by Diane Hannah

Time sure does fly! This is my oldest granddaughter. She just started her first year of high school. Riley is a great softball player. She has been playing since she was four years old. Now in high school, she tried out for the school team. Amazingly she made the junior varsity team, and the varsity team. Lots of ball to play on two teams. We are all so proud of her! Her hard work has really paid off! Go Riley!!

THE LAVANDER STORY PART 2 by Wanda Lipski

A few weeks back I posted a photo as they were starting the lavander harvest earlier than usual due to the hot weather. This week we also spent a couple of days high up in the mountains of the Drome department where we did a market, selling some of my stock to locals and tourists. The harvest has now finished and we were lucky enough to come across this distillery. The lavander comes in by the tractor load ... 130 kgs of the plant is required to obtain 1litre of essential oil, obtained by passing steam through the plants that are shoved, rather unceremoniously into the huge vats you can see behind the tractor. The smell is heavenly as you can imagine. As I was away, I have not be very busy but here are a couple of my recent uploads. They have no smell, but I hope you ENJOY them.

My New to Me Jeep by Janice Shehan

After 17 years, my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited finally died on the way to the new car dealership. She was faithful, dependable and a joy to drive and own. When I saw the new Jeep Compass, it was love at first sight. The perfect car for me, not too big, as I didnt need a big vehicle anymore and easy on the eyes too. I made the right decision, I love my new Jeep!
