YULE LOG & POINSETTIAS - Christmas Decoupage 7x7 Step by Step Card Front With Commercial Use
This Christmas or Yuletide card front shows a yule log, decorated with greenery and a candle, and a patterned edging with red and green poinsettias in each corner. Send a card just with the main image if you need a quick card. Or add in the layers of decoupage for the log and poinsettias (and any of seven seasonal sentiment tags) to give it beautiful dimension.
This card also has a matching insert (cup806156) and co-ordinating yule log and poinsettia background papers (cup numbers cup806165 and cup806164 respectively).
Finally, this sheet comes with small scale commercial use, meaning that you can sell any cards you hand make with it, whether on CUP or anywhere else. Happy making!

This is a beautiful, pen and water colour design from Clare Walker, depicting a warm log fire for the coming Northern Winter months. The folks living in the Southern part of the world, who are lucky enough to have experienced those wonderful White Christmas times, will again be able to experience, a wonderful warm, nostalgia on the receipt of this card at Christmas time.
I printed the sheet out twice. Once on to copy paper, and once onto 200gsm white matte card. Using the copy paper topper, I mounted it with double sided tape onto a leaf green card 11.5cm square. I edged the green card with a green alcohol pen, and the topper with a gold metallic pen. The main card is a pale beige with tiny white Christmas baubles all over it, and measures 26cm x 13cm. I made a gold foil backing sheet 12.5square, and used padded tape to attach this to the back of the green card, that already had, had the topper attached.
I used the 1cm wide , red, with white baubles, Christmas ribbon to attach to the front of the topper, starting 3cm up from the lower edge of the green card. I then wrapped the ribbon around all of these and used magic tape, to attach it at the back of the gold foil backing sheet. I used double sided tape and matted this onto the main card.
Using the second sheet, I cut out the elements, and then also cut the central part of the design, keeping intact the glitter edging. To highlight the edging ,I added 3mm wide silver glitter, self adhesive strips with a very fine gold edging over the art work depicting the outer edge of the central frame. I used padded squares to attach this section, to the front of the card, and did the same with the 2 poinsettias and the log with the candle. I used the gold glitter pen to add tiny dots to the flower centres, and to the candle flame. I tied a bow with the same ribbon, and backed the sentiment with gold foil.
For the insert, for this card I used Clare Walker's Christmas designed Background Sheet, "Poinsettias" CUP806164_79993, and added the extra elements I had printed onto the copy paper. What a great cheery card, I am so happy with it. I think I will also make some ear rings to go with this using the poinsettias paper. I am sending you a hug Clare, and a big thank you.
