Each Year The RSPB in Britain ask for people to take part in a bird watch in their own garden.
You have to sit for an hour and count the birds that land . I've done it for the last few years. Its amazing how many birds you see.
This year I hardly saw any birds,and was quite worried. Then I spotted a cat sitting on the shed roof next door . It had kept all the birds away. Fortunately there was apart on the survey to add notes. I'm sharing a photo of a Kingfisher that flew into our conservatory a few years back.
Sadly this was the one and only time we saw him . I hope to glimpse him again on one of my bird watches
We have had a lot of rain,wind,hail ,but only a covering of snow,so far this winter .
Maisie our Scottie dog loves snow,and can't wait to get outside as soon as she she's it .We are hoping to get enough snow this year to build a snow Scottie in the garden ,but so far we haven't had enough to make even a leg .
If we manage to build one ,we will send in a photo. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm xx
We had a visit from our granddaughters at the weekend . Lexie the eldest wanted to do some glitter pictures . As you can see it takes a bit of concentration to get the glitter in the right place. We had a beautiful picture when it was finished .
Unfortunately Lexie decided to throw the glitter left in the tray out of the back door . It was a windy day ..... All the glitter blew back through the door ,all over Lexie, all over maisie the scottie dog, and all over the kitchen.
Everywhere is now very sparkly . We will be finding glitter all over for a long time .
Crafting is a lot of fun lol xx
Our Scottie Dog Maisie , has found herself with quite a few new Scottie friends. These are some of the presents we received over Christmas . Come to our house and be greeted by Maisie the Scottie dog.
Sit on a chair covered with a scottie dog throw.get comfy with a scottie dog cushion.Have a drink in one of a large collection of scottie dog mugs.
You could have a boiled egg in a scottie dog egg cup. Add some salt from a scottie dog salt pot. We even have scottie dog shaped shortbread biscuits . You can be kept company be the soft toy scotties ,and scottie dog ornaments.
Don't forget to check the time on the scottie dog clock. Friends say its a bit of an obsession, we say its just a lot of fun lol xx
Well after a lot of hard work,and a lot of sorting out,my craft room is finally all done. I've found so many lost crafty things,and even discovered things I don't remember buying.
Everything is in labelled boxes for ease of use . its great to be able to sit at my desk and reach everything.
I'm not sure once I get crafting how tidy it will stay,but it looks good for now .
