Electrodash London 5K

Last Saturday we took part in a event called Electrodash. It is a 5k run with a twist! I had seen it on facebook and thought it looked like fun.

It is a 5k run (I use the word 'run' loosely lol, it was more like a 5k selfie!) that takes place in the dark.

You are surrounded by giant UV decorations and tunnels, all to the sound of dance music. We were pounding the pavements around London's Excel Centre dressed in neon clothes and UV body paint. At the finish line you are greeted by what can only be described as a neon rave!

So we finished our run by dancing the rest of the night away. It was great fun and I will definitely do it again next year. I have included a few photos from the night, sorry for the poor quality, but hopefully it will give you an idea of what the event was like.

Sports Day!

This week both my younger children enjoyed their school sports days. My husband and I went along to cheer them on and luckily the weather was lovely on both days.

They did a mixture of activities that included traditional relay and egg and spoon races, although luckily not with real eggs!

They had a great time and it was lovely to see them so settled in their new school. This is a picture of Daley on the left and Demi on the right doing their activities.

Here is one of my Wedding Card Mini Kits and one of my favourite Peekaboo Card Kits. I hope you like them.

Happy Birthday Michael

It was my brother Michael's 19th Birthday last Saturday and luckily the weather stayed nice and I did him a birthday BBQ in my garden.

It was touch and go as to whether it would go a head, as there was very heavy rain in the morning, but the sun came out in the afternoon when he arrived and we had a lovely time with the rest of our family.

Here is a picture of him with the Birthday cake I made him.

I have chosen one of my newest designs and Michael's latest upload - as many of you know Michael has been inactive on CUP for a while due to a nasty accident on his hand, but he is back now :-)

A Very Special Birthday

Last Saturday we celebrated my Mum's 50th Birthday. We took her to a World Buffet restaurant, which Michael and I discovered when doing the Hobbycraft show at the NEC with CUP.

There is one in Wembley which is not too far and it overlooks Wembley Stadium.

Then afterwards, we all went back to my house to surprise her with her presents and a cake... not that we had much room left lol!

Here is a picture of my Mum (Helen Tullio) and my two youngest children with her balloons. Here are two of my newest designs, I hope you like them x

A View From The Hills

I live very close to the A40 which is a very busy dual carriage way. In Northolt where I live, there are 4 large hills that run along side it.

We have driven past them many times and my son, Daley was desperate to climb up to the top of the one.

Last weekend as the weather was so lovely, we finally climbed to the top of the largest one. You can easily see Wembley Stadium - the hills are artificial and were constructed from the rubble that came from the old Wembley Stadium when it was demolished.

On a clear day, you can see all the way to Canary Wharf and the famous skyscraper, The Gerkin! They were put there to help with the noise and traffic pollution and when you are climbing up it is quite bizarre - on the traffic side of the hill it is very noisy and windy, but on the other side it the complete opposite, calm and quiet.

I have included a photo of my children, Daley, Demi and Amber at the top of the hill - you can see Wembley to the left of my son and a picture of Amber standing at the bottom so you can see how enormous it is.
