Technology is so amazing. Think of the mess we would be in without it. It's used for banking, seeing the doctor and almost everything nowadays. For Christmas my husband had a new camera and took it to Sutton Park. While there he photographed some birds.
The pictures of the birds in flight are so clear and crisp. I would have expected the wings to be blured but the shutter spead is so fast they come out clearly.
Can't wait for spring and summer when we can take it to the Botonical Gardens. My aim is to get insects in flight.
He has a long way to go to learn the full potential of the camera and I try not to loose sight of that fact that its a camera.
It's not learnt to make the tea yet though!

Crooked House Saturday was my Hubbys birthday. We went out to a pub called The Crooked House. The name is an understatement.
As you walk through the front there are 2 doors and its a bit of an upward opening to get in as the doors and frame at ate a steep angle.
Inside its the same. In the lounge there is a dido rail that look like they go upward. On the bar is a container of marbles.
Taking one out and running it along the dido rail you'd think it would run down hill and where where glasses can slowly slide across tables.
This house is at such a steep angle that the marbles run up hill. Built in 1765 the leaning effect is due to local mining in the 1800s when the building was badly affected by subsidence, one side of the building is four feet lower than the other.
The Crooked House, just outside Dudley in the West Midlands has become a tourist attraction and is well worth a visit

We have a boy Our baby Grandson was born on 17th at 8.13pm weighing 8lbs 13oz. He is called Kieran. He's feeding almost every hour including through the night. My daughter is worn out. Not sure what his sister Bella thinks of him though.
So pleased that both are OK and all is well

Starting Early My 2 year old Granddaughter, Bella made me this lovely Christmas card that is a treasure. I told her mum, when she was born that she is going to take after me and be crafty. My daughter does not have a craft bone in her body.
I tried her with all kinds of things including teaching her knitting with the aid of my husband and a mirror, as she is left-handed.
Bella, on the other hand, is showing signs and I was super chuffed to recieve this card. It's not going in with the others as it will have a special area to itself. It's things like this that make Christmas that extra bit special Thank you Bella

Cedder Gorge Museum At the Cedder Gorge, my hubby and I first went into Gough?s Cave, it was very educational. We went onto the museum. Although not very big it was crammed with information on Britain's pre-historic past.
Discoveries were made in the caves that told of how our ancestors lived through a 40,000-year struggle for life. Music and lights created an atmosphere befitting that of a struggling society. Excavations have proved things that we don?t really want to know about man?s survival. Next week I will finish off with the amazing Cox Cave & the Crystal Quest??
