Stone Dolphins

I love dolphins and so was really taken with this unusual garden feature, which I saw at a recent garden show. It was part of a show garden, which had a nautical theme throughout.

The dolphins are made from stone, were sat on sand and water. This week I have added some Christmas pop up boxes.

The finished cards fold flat for posting and fit inside an 8x8 envelope. NOTE These do not require a rubber band mechanism. I've kept them simple.

RAIN DEER!

Last week it was Mark's Mam's 80th Birthday. We went to Whitworth Hall for lunch, which was absolutely gorgeous. The Hall was once the home of the family of Bobby Shaftoe. It is set in a beautiful country park. A large herd of fallow deer roam the park.

Many were sheltered under the trees, because of the rain, but this little fellow obviously thought he was a rain deer.

He didn't seem to mind it at all! These are 2 of my newest Christmas designs.

Scarborough Castle

Just had a lovely long weekend in the caravan. We stayed at our favourite site in Whitby and had a day trip to Scarborough. I love this view of the town, with the castle on the cliff tops. Visits to Scarborough always bring back fond childhood memories, as it is still very much a traditional seaside town. I've added some new shaped card fronts for Christmas.

There are several more in this style, as well as the 2 below.

Prime Sea Front Location

On a recent visit to Scarborough, we spotted this seagull (the one in the middle), feeding it's baby seagull. If you look carefully, you might just see the baby, peeping out of the top of the nest. I had to laugh, when I noticed the sign, below the nests.

These seagulls had obviously agreed, when they decided to build their nests. This week I've added some shaped cards and A5 cards with pop out inserts.

A Blast From The Past

When I came across this David Brown tractor, at a country show it brought back lots of lovely memories from my childhood. My Dad ran the furnace department and made tractors at David Brown's. Every year, the company had open days and trips out for the children of the workforce. Seeing the tractor, reminded me of some lovely times riding tractors at the annual open day and visits to the cinema at Christmas time, where we were given a bag of goodies, which included an orange! Below are 2 of my new Christmas designs added this week.
