I would just like to take a bit of time out to thank all the lovely CUP Designers and Card Makers who have given me and my son such kind words of sympathy and support at this very traumatic and distressing time - they have been a real comfort to me. My son was viciously and cowardly attacked and stabbed. I am very happy and relieved to report he is making great progress, and after being in hospital for 13 days, is home with me again and recouperating - we will be going to the coast shortly for a much needed break so it will still be awhile before I become really active on CUP again Bless you all x
My company decided to do a makeover on the garden - in fact we have three. One is kept as a wild garden with shrubs and heathers and hidden benches to encourage the wild life - the middle one is the seating area with bistro tables and chairs with an unusual planted tree under a pergola, and lastly this one - all very impressive, especially when it is all 5 floors up! The building is situated between the Town Park and River so spectacular views and amazing when you have Swans, Herons, and Ducks flying passed you at the same level
I was looking to fill in spare time from my painting commissions in 2009 (though I work full time elsewhere), and a friend who makes cards told me about a site she had found called..... "Craftsuprint" and the idea of me making cards - well, no need to guess what happened next :), though I do have to confess it took me some persuading to get Rob to accept me as a designer - I am so glad he did, and hope he is too. I Love it! - it's so addictive and of course I have now given up my painting so I can use all my time in designing. I am so thrilled to have achieved "Titanium Designer" status and to receive this wonderful award which was a total surprise - and of course non on this would have been possible without the help and support of Rob, Neil, CUP and YOU the wonderful card makers that have purchased all of these 50,000 design sheet and made them up into the fantastic and amazing cards that I see of in the finished photos A Very Very BIG Thank You to one and all x
It's my Birthday on Monday 3rd December...... and I'm actually really excited! as we are going to do something special, and something I have wanted to do for a few years now - and that is to go to the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park in London http://www.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com/ It looks quite Magical with all Christmas lights, Swiss styled wooden chalets selling Christmas Fayre - lots of things to see and do, among eat and drink :) and have booked tickets to go and see the Ice Sculptures which are kept at a temperature of -8.
So am going to wrap up really warm, as it promises to be a cold day anyway ..... Iceskating, Circus, Shows, Music, Hog Roast.... Log Fires..... Giant Observation Wheel....and lots more besides.... am going to take lots of photos too .... So excited..... and Can't Wait
Only living 30 mins car drive to Central London and making the most of the good weather.. and the Olympics before it's close.
Had a lovely afternoon out and about enjoying the sites and sounds. Parked at St.
Katherine's Dock which is just beside Tower Bridge and the Tower of London and with IPad at the ready clicked happily away and all the fabulous yachts and catamarans moored up - walked along the Embankment and up over the Bridge, down along Potters Fields Park which is a grassed picnic area set up with a Big Screen for the Olympics!
Walked back on the otherside along the Tower of London and sat outside eating Fish n Chips - Great Day! and Wonderful Atmosphere
