… had a great time with our youngest grandchildren this week. It was half time so we had time to spend doing all the things they love to do when they come to our house.
Baking and Crafting (not at the same time! lol) are always on the list of things they want to do!
Soooo …. we baked a crunchy Oat cookies - and WOW - they were delicious!! For crafting they made Easter Bunny hand puppets out of Crafting paper and things from my Crafty Stash!
They also made some wonderful creations out of Lego … and we all played Ludo and a Snakes and Ladders using stones I had painted as counters and super large playing boards I had painted on the box a huge TV had come in ….
Together with large wooden dice …. Ohh what fun we had!!
Its hard to believe Otto the Wiermaraner is only 6 months. I get pictures from my daughter most days of his strange sleeping and sitting positions.
She made me laugh the other day when she phoned me as she does that instead of Otto sitting on the Ottoman (no pun intended) to look out the window comfortably, he has to stand on her on the couch to strain to look out of the small back window instead.
When she phoned again for a chat Otto was asleep on the Ottoman which he really doesnt fit on, then my daughter started to laugh again, as if in slow motion he just slid off the ottoman to the floor.
He does make me smile and has brought so much laughter to the whole family.
Youngest granddaughter, Olivia, was competing in an indoor race competition last weekend. This time it was at an indoor race venue in Sheffield. This time it was an 800 metres creme de la creme race where she was the youngest in the race, with the other competitors being significantly older!
She ran really well and did brilliantly …. She finished in 4th, with a new personal best time! We couldnt be prouder of her! Watch this space though, as shes running again this weekend at Rushcliffe Country Park, and this time its a Cross Country Race, which she loves running.
Ill be there to cheer her on too!
Lol
Your cat hide? Our old girl likes to keep us guessing as to her whereabouts around the house. Usually she sleeps on a foot stool in the lounge or on our bed.
But every now and then she likes to keep us guessing where she is and finds new places to hide every now and then.
We hunt all round the house and Im sure she lies there watching us thinking haha you cant see me.
So far she has hidden behind the desk under my computer (hidden by a waste basket), in behind a chair in our bedroom, in the corner of the room where our grand daughter has her desk and between that and the shoe cupboard, and the other day she tried blending in with grand daughters shoes.
We looked in that room a couple of times but she was curled up at the back of this space.
By the time I got the camera she had made her self visible. Dont know if hide and seek is her favourite game or ours trying to find her!!
I have just finished sewing another bag. I liked the look of this pattern, The Harley, which uses two contrasting fabrics. So, I had the idea to use black and white to give it a mod look. I had fun making it and I love the way it turned out.
I will definitely make more of these as using different fabrics, colours and patterns will make every bag unique. Next on my sewing list is a coin wallet for hubby though, as he has been waiting for it for a while lol I have added some more Superheroes to my store.
This time they are girl Superheroes, including Harley Quinn, Supergirl and Wonder Woman.
My cat Bailey loves to play, he has a toy basket and regularly empties those out all over its like an obstacle course.
He also loves to play hide and seek, usually in the bathroom, well I say bathroom its a wet room with a shower.
Bailey loves to hide in the shower curtain with his tail sticking out and although we know where he is, we have to say gotcha and a game of tag ensues.
Its a similar thing with his tunnel.
He loves to hide at the top of his tunnel with his tail in the air, we then say we can see you and we get a tail swish as acknowledgement, then we have to say it a couple more times, we get the bum wiggle and he shoots down the tunnel to pounce and then he has his zoomies.
He is a cat who knows what he wants, and of course we obey.
Its that time of the year when in late summer when those summer veggies and fruits are in abundance in the shops, all at a much cheaper price.
Tomatoes caught my eye this year, although vowing I was going to have a break from making chutney, I have found the shop bought varieties cannot hold a star against homemade.
So I took advantage of the good price now available and bought some, which I turned into my tried and tested tomato chutney.
Lovely with cheese and cold meats - yum!
… just love this photo of my youngest granddaughter, Olivia which I took in June 2014 at Hardwick Hall. She is 11 now so she would have been 3 then …. The look on her face and her stance really make me laugh!
This is the same granddaughter who has won sooo many medals for her running, she certainly gave us the run around when she was little! lol
My dogs make me laugh every day. Sam is only three but still has a puppy brain, he is so funny. The boys stayed with my daughter the other day, and Sam kept stealing an old dressing gown that my granddaughter had given their little dog to snuggle.
The next day I remembered I had a similar dressing gown that I was going to throw away. I called Sam upstairs and gave it to him. I think you can tell by the look on his face he was a very happy boy. This week I have added six superhero designs. All little boys and girls love superheroes!
Please drop me a request if there are any other characters that you would like in this style, and I will be happy to make them for you.

We have our grand daughters other cat here now that the grand daughter is living with us. This is in addition to the other cat that we were supposed to be looking after for 3 months but has now turned into 6 years.
This little sweetie, Narla, is a very affectionate little girl and loves sitting on either hubbys or my lap while we are at the computer.
But now when we get out of our chairs she thinks that maybe she can help out and has taken to sitting on my desk.
Not sure if she enjoys playing games or thinks she could be CUPs newest designer!
Love her to bits but it is hard trying to work when she has taken a liking to the desk over the chair or ones lap.
Last Friday a number of pupils from RAF Benson School took part in the annual Young Voices choir at the BP Pulse Live Arena in Birmingham.
My youngest grandson Harry was one of the participants and my daughter volunteered as a parent helper.
Young Voices runs in various venues around the country over a month. The children form the largest childrens choir in the world, with over 9,000 taking part. For a number of weeks the children learn a selection of songs which they sing in front of a live audience.
There are also special guests who also perform accompanied by the children.
This year was MC Grammer, a popular Tik Tok person who raps childrens stories, then there was Souparnika Nair who was a semi finalist on BGT and finally Strictly Come Dancing vocalist Tony Blaine.
The children love it also meeting with peers from other schools. Its a long day, but it is always enjoyed by everyone.
Apart from designing cards, I also have another love - Watercolour Painting. I have been pursuing this hobby for over 30 years and I never get tired of it. Recently I discovered Liquid Charcoal which can be used like watercolour.
I have tried drawing with normal charcoal but more often than not got it everywhere. So liquid charcoal was a nice alternative for me. I love the effect I can get when using this medium, especially with portraiture.
My youngest granddaughter is in DisneyWorld having the time of her life!
One thing about my little Elsea is she isnt shy far from it.And her talking now is coming on lovely, she just doesnt stop lol she is only 2 years old but is so grown up…Going to meet the characters she just waltzed up and gave them a hug. none of my girls did that they both were quite shy with others.
Elsea is a force of her very own and Im so grateful shes in my life. Thats all from me
The Christmas post box topper on our walk has now been replaced, and of course, it had to be for Valentines Day.
Its a simple design this time, but so cute. The topper is covered in red love hearts, with two elephants in the centre kissing with their trunks entwined.
I expect the next topper to be Easter. And I cant wait to see it. My end of month SALE ends at midnight tonight (GMT) 20% off of ALL my designs! Grab a bargain quick!
