As the Easter holiday are on us, a lot of kids get really bored or are so glued to their PlayStations they never get a sniff of fresh air.
AirPlay at RAF Benson have made sure the kids are getting out and about.
Last week my daughter who manages the AirPlay at Benson organised a trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park near Burford.
It was ideal as it was only about 40 mins from Benson. Ive been there before and it is a small wildlife park but has a great variety of animals, and it even has a couple of wolves.
There arent any rides just a simple park , but I know it is a lovely day out. My two grandsons had a fabulous time, and my daughter had one glitch when one of the kids dropped their wallet in the Red Panda enclosure.
Thankfully the Red Pandas snoozed through it all, and the keeper just laughed and said it happens most days.
So what was my youngest grandsons favourite animals? The Pigs, he loves pigs which is the souvenir he bought in the shop.

When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, the thing I was dreading most was the dreaded chemotherapy.
Its not nice, I cant lie, but at the same time, I dont think its as bad as I thought it would be and I have had a chance to enjoy life in between sessions.
That said, Ive had three rounds of one type of chemo so far, and Im about to switch to a different type.
While I havent loved some of the side effects Ive had from the last three sessions, I have kind of got used to them, so I know what to expect.
The idea of switching to new chemo drugs now is a bit scary as I dont know what side effects Im going to have this time.But... focusing on the positives, Ive got more hair left than I thought I would have at this point, Ive treasured some lovely times with my family in between, and the weather is getting nicer, which makes everything much more bearable!

… week was the first week of the Easter Schools holiday and we had a lovely day with our youngest grandchildren, one if our older granddaughters and our great grandson!
Needless to say it was a very busy day with baking, crafting, trip to the park and playing board games etc etc etc. we all had a fabulous day … but blimey was I shattered after running up and down stairs and helping, organising, setting up and clearing away etc for 12 hours!
Ill be doing it again next week too! lol

When we chose our Golden Retriever Billy from his litter, we chose the biggest, darkest boy. However, when we went to visit him at the breeders, one of the little girls climbed on my lap, and I fell in love.
She was the smallest and the lightest—she was tiny.
But we were strong and only bought one dog home. Although some of us owners have kept in touch online, I have never met them in person. Until today! When Billy and little Grace were reunited after nearly 7 years.
She was a little overwhelmed by my big crazy boys at first, but we took them to the beach, and her and Billy bonded and had a great time.
We are hoping to meet up again very soon.

so all the storms we had through the winter took the cover right off our 3 metre polytunnel so today was such a lovely sunny day we went to put on a new one it was hard work but well worth it ,it was so lovely to see everything blossoming on the fruit treesthis is the second year we have lost the cover to storms so hopefully this year will be kinder to us x

I know Ive mentioned a few times about our late grand fur baby Roxy. She sadly passed away a couple of years ago. She belonged to my daughter and family but she was loved by all of us.
She was a Staffie with the biggest heart and full of love for everyone. Although my daughter and family a have another fur baby called Otto, Roxy is never forgotten. So, my daughter loves diamond painting; the are of attaching small gems called drills onto a canvas which is sticky.
The canvas usually has a picture printed on, and its a bit like painting with numbers. For Christmas last year I had a diamond painting kit personalised using one of my daughters favourite pictures of Roxy.
I just emailed the picture and the company did the rest. It came complete with the drills in the correct colours.
Kayleigh was very emotional but loved it, and now after a few months she has finally completed it and framed it.
She looks fabulous and it is a fitting tribute to a true Diamond Dog.

…. Youngest granddaughter was competing in the 800 metres last weekend. It was a lovely sunny day but brrr … the wind was sooo cold and very strong!
Of course wherever we go to support her running its in an elevated and exposed place … sooo … we get to enjoy the full force of the weather! lol It was an open meeting with all ages and genders competing in the same race.
One again Olivia was one of the youngest competitors … but she ran brilliantly and took 4th place behind 2 males and an older female!
Not only that but despite the weather conditions she was just 1 second off of getting a new PB (personal best).
We couldnt be prouder of her! But I was really glad to be back in a warm room with a hot coffee though! Lol

This year I purchased an alto flute. Besides designing cutting file projects, I spend a lot of time playing my concert flute in new horizon band and both concert and alto flute in recitals, special music for church and a flute quartet.
This week I performed Sicilienne by Gabriel Faure on my alto flute in the Learn Flute Online recital. Wish I could post the recital line up of over 50 flute participants.I started taking lessons during COVID. As I progressed through my lessons I was given the chance to take group lessons, join the band and startup a quartet.
Music is just another art form that helps me in retirement to enjoy my spare time.

March 30th was a special day for my grandson. Reaching the grand age of thirteen he was now officially a teenager. With his dad being deployed overseas they were limited to their celebrations with my daughter unable to drive. But he wanted to keep it quite simple anyway.
He opted for a shopping day, which he actually loves. He bought a few things like his Nike lightweight jacket, he also like aftershaves and hair products. He spends a long time styling his hair to what I think looks like a birds nest, but he insists it on trend.
He then was treated to Kaspers Dessert Place.
He didnt want any fancy birthday cake, instead opting for plain cupcakes. Later he has a couple of friends over for a gaming sleepover and Pizza. He thoroughly enjoyed himself and thats all that matters.

Its been over a year since Ive posted a new product. WOW where has Judy Henry been. Im glad to say Im trying to get back to designing popup cards after a fall last May on Mothers Day.
This landed me in hospital with a broken arm.
And of course it was my right arm.Ten months later Im trying to slowly get back to designing. Its not easy keeping up with technology! New computer and cutting machine is on its way to my house!
This means I wont have to struggle with outdated software and hardware but… the learning curve is going to be a struggle. Its been a while that Ive seen advertising in the newsletter for cutting files.
I hope you all will follow my journey into fresh new designs. Here are some of my favorites from the past.

As my son is an actor, he is usually around to care for our granddaughter Daisy while her mummy is at work.
But he is away working at the moment, so good old grandad has stepped up to collect Daisy from school and feed and entertain her till mummy gets home.
He had lots of fun decorating Daisys nails using the gift that came with her comic. I think you will agree he did a very good job.
I will be able to go with him in a few weeks, when our daughter can look after the dogs, so I think I might help her to make some cupcakes.
My end-of-month SALE starts today, with 20% off of ALL my designs!

Easter is quite late this year, and I am thankful the Primary School at RAF Benson is still celebrating it.
Each year the school have always had various celebrations and activities and one activity the children love is making their Easter Hats.
They are allowed some parental help, like if hot glue guns are being used, and some cutting ( which in my daughters case isnt great anyway and she says that).
This year Harry wanted his hat to be a tractor as he absolutely loves them. So this is his version of a tractor and I think he has done a great job.

My daughter has taken up soccer as a sport now that they dropped the division she was playing in doing the ice hockey.
She did do soccer when she was at high school but hockey is her preference.
Last Wednesday night she told us she was playing a game against my local stomping ground and if we wanted to go see, it would be nice and close for us.
Her team the Wynnum Wolves was against Jimboomba so of course we went. It had drizzled rain all day and by night time it was quite a lot heavier.
As I am having quite a big surgery on Friday I didnt want to catch a cold or worse so rugging up, armed with umbrellas off we went.
The first half it was hard to pick her and her partner out as they both play, as the game was very much being played up the Jimboomba goal end.
Score at half time was 1-1 so whatever was said in the break really gave them what they needed.
Being that ends were swapped, it was still really hard to pick who was doing what as Wynnum kept the ball up the other end of the field too.
I could see that goals were being scored but wasnt till after the match that I found out that my daughter scored one goal, assisted in one goal and her partner kicked two goals all in the second half.
So Wynnum beat the locals 5-1.
The whole game the rain was beating down but when goals are being scored who cares. Winners are Grinners!

Last month my daughters rescue dog Cookie had to have an operation on her cruciate ligament. Recovery is slow, but steady after these operations, but Cookie took it all in her stride.
We lent them our soft puppy crate so that she had somewhere she could be safe if they had to leave her at all.
From the first day, before she had even had her op, she went straight in. Now she is almost recovered; she loves the crate and has made it her own, so my daughter offered to buy it from us.
We of course said no Cookie can have it.
When we saw this picture of her looking so cute in her crate, how could we take it from her?

Recently the Pub Choir came to Brisbane for two nights. What is the Pub Choir? In 2017 Astrid Jorgensen formed the Pub Choir. It is an entirely improvised music session where a pub is filled to capacity and everyone sings.
Well whether you can sing or not come along because by the end of the night you will be singing.
What a night!! You turn up and they give you the song your singing that night, a couple of rehersals and learn what part you are signing and the magic happens.
Both nights here in Brisbane were sold out and 300 people came to the Tivoli hotel each night.
Astrid has taken her Pub Choir all over the world where there has been up to 3000 people in a stadium all singing the night away.
The two shows here were sold out, no surprise there. But what a night!! Cant wait for the May sessions!
