Two weeks of fun (not sun) in UK was superb. My first day was quite a treat going with my family to my son-in-laws Red Letter Day at Rockingham Race Course in Northants.

He was going to drive a Lamborghini for 3 laps of the course.

My grand-son,Harris who is 5 1/2 years old got quite upset and wanted to do it too. The stewards tried to calm him, but NO he wanted to go with dad. So to satisfy his urge they suggested a lap in a Lotus Felice driven by a top racing driver. But first of all they had to see if he could see over the dashboard. NO.

My son-in-law suggested his booster seat might fit in the car, it worked. But law states a crash helmet, but at 5 1/2 years old, did they have one to fit. It had to be XS, they only had two and they were both in use.

Harris eventually got his day and went round the course, not once, but three times at full speed and did wheelies at all corners and the look on his face after was exhilarating as you can see.

Full speed was 160mph. WOW.As you can see by the picture he really thought he was with Stig's dad.

My grandson is now 5 years old and on Monday morning when cleaning his teeth, his first baby tooth came out.

Last week my daughter had told me that he had one loose. So I rummaged through my made cards and found the "Tooth Fairy Letter" by CuP31203_359 Carol Clarke.

Took a lot of searching for because I made it up 2 years ago in preparation. That is what you call forward planning. It took me also ages to find a UK £1 pound coin, as living in Spain we run out of them quite quick.

Anyway found one and stuck it to the bottom of the letter and proceeded to post it off.

It arrived on Monday morning with the post. How is that for timing!! Last night my daughter placed it under my grandson's pillow for this morning and when he found it he tried despartely to eat the coin thinking it was a chocolate one, as he had had a lot of chocolate coins last weekend at Easter.

Anyway here is a picture of the letter which is now placed on facebook as well, (by my daughter).

I am currently living in Spain and have been since 2004. During this time here various things have happened and during 2009 I had to have a hip replacement, this resulted in me being laid up for a long while and I was bored.

My friend introduced me to card-making and I tried it and the rest is history. I am thoroughly enjoying experimenting with different things and have such a purpose in life now. Last year I returned to the UK for a visit and took my daughter (Pamela Evans), with me to the crafting exhibition at Farnborough.

She was enthralled by all the different things that you could do, and during this time life wasn't easy for her.

She was unemployed and short of money. But she started to show an interest. On a visit here to me she attended the same craft class as me and was told she was a natural.

On her return to the UK started attending a craft class of her own and learnt a lot more. In October she joined CuP and bought a few sheets, but didn't realise they were Gold Stars and made them up and submitted them.

The cards she is making are mainly for Christmas for friends, family and work colleagues, as she is now working.

I am really proud of her as she is starting to go forward and this is a really challenge for her.

I have attached a photo of us two, but it is a few years old.
