ORCHIDS: 7x7 Birthday Quick Card With Orchid Decoupage, Blank Sentiment Tag & Commercial Use
Five orchid blooms are the feature of this 7x7 inch birthday card front. It will please any recipient, whether you send it as it is, or with the two included layers of orchid decoupage.
A blank sentiment tag is also included on the sheet, making this design suitable for a range of occasions, and not just birthdays.
Finally, as with all my designs, this sheet comes with small-scale commercial use. Meaning that you're free to sell anything you physically hand make using this sheet, whether on CUP or anywhere else. Happy making!

This design has made into a stunning card, by using all the tones within the original colour scheme of the main image.
I made 2 copies of the sheet provided, and one of these was onto a regular white 80gsm copy paper and the second one onto C B white matte 120gsm card.
I used the 80gsm copy to attach using D.S. tape onto a white card cut at 11cm square. I defined the outside edges using a silver metallic pen and a ruler. Using this metallic pen I repeated this silver edging for each additional backing sheet.
The next backing sheet is a soft burgundy and measures 11.5cm square. The next is a black cut at 12.5cm square and the largest is a silver grey textured card cut at 13.5cm square.
I attached these, using D.S. tape to the deep rose pink coloured textured card front which measures 15cm square.
I then used the 120gsm copy of the main image and cut away the outside frame, leaving an image that measures 10cm square.
I defined the edges with the silver pen, and attached the deep rose pink ribbon vertically down the centre of the back of this main image using red power tape and used padded D.S tape to attach this main image to the card front.
I then folded the ribbon over into the inside of the card attaching it with red power tape. I completed the insert before completing the main decoupage. To complete the insert, I used the matching insert supplied by Clare Walker, cup884282_79993, at the original size and cut it down to fit the insert of the card.
I attached a simple tied knot bow and 2 pink gems.
To complete the decoupage I cut out the smaller elements from the 120gsm copy and attached these using tiny padded D.S. squares.
I tied a simple bow and used red power tape to attach it to the top of the card. I attached the pearls and the gems to complete the card. I also made a matching envelope for this beautiful card.
I used the template from my tutorial CHRISTMAS CARD ENVELOPE for the 6”x6” card, and used the 80gsm copies of the smaller elements as an embellishment.
Thank you Clare, for this beautiful original art work, I am sending you a hug as I am sure the receiver of this card will return that hug to me.
