Silk Kimono Card - Mini Kit - Nostalgic Summer
These silk kimono mini kits each have 2 sheets designed to create a shaped card that will fit a C5 envelope. The first sheet has the shaped card base - if your photo paper is thin you may wish to use cardstock as a base - and a loose tag for you to place as you choose.
The second sheet has the decoupage layers including sentiment panels and an additional tag for you to place as you choose.
A full picture tutorial is included in the kit. Pale items are edged for ease of cutting - this is not part of the design.
The finished item is a Kimono shaped card with florals. Something a little different. The colours on this design are muted, subtle blues and a hint of beige.

I printed the base design onto 300gsm card and the greetings and decoupage onto 255gsm photographic paper and cut these out.
I scored and folded the card as instructed. I assembled the decoupage and added the greeting using thin foam tape.
I printed this kit onto 200gsm photo paper and cut out all the pieces. I then added the main card to another for increased stability.
I then added all the decoupage using foam tape and pads and finished by adding pretty silver borders to give an opulent feel to the card.
This is a quick and easy card to make and suitable for any occasion but has the novel wow factor we are all looking for in cards.
