Exploding Box - Cat and Mouse
The background on this box is a traditional floral pattern in shades of peach. There are scalloped mats and images of cats and mice. There is decoupage for the large box lid.
There are four layers to this box and two lids, one for the largest box and one for the smallest box, a surprise within a surprise.
You will receive four different sized boxes and two lids, plus each layer has additional square pieces so you can add pictures inside each box.
You will receive 4 sheets to print showing the box sides and lids and an additional backing sheet to print onto the backs of these 4 sheets.
There is also a preview sheet which has a small photo of an opened finished box (not necessarily the one in this kit - it is just to show how an opened box looks).

I printed each layer of the design onto white card then fed it back through the printer and printed the backing paper onto the reverse.
I cut these out. I scored and folded each layer.
I printed the images onto good quality photographic paper and cut these out and attached them to each layer using double sided tape.
I then attached each layer inside each other using thin foam tape. I cut out the two lids and assembled them using strong double sided tape. I added the images to the lids using thin foam tape. I then put the smallest lid onto the smallest layer to close.
A small gift could be placed here. The larger lid completes the exploding box. A lovely design and very easy to make.
